Clear bag recommendation sought

Hi, everyone. I have noticed a lot of mention over the years of a clear bag that some of you bring into events, and I was just at a historic attraction and a comedy show that also permitted clear bags but no other bags. With an Amazon gift card, I figure it may be time to invest in one such bag. Would a size of 12” x 11” x 6”(H * L* W) be recommended by you based on past experience? Specifically, I see this on Amazon. Thanks for any advice.

@Plusdinfo I bought my clear bag a few years ago. It's the same size as the one you linked, and I've never had any issues with taking it into a venue. I bought it on Amazon, and I'd recommend reading the reviews before choosing the seller. Some products seem to have a lot of problems with straps fraying, zippers breaking, etc, and I found the reviews quite helpful in avoiding the poorly made bags. Everything is still working on the bag I have.

I would recommend a bag with an over-the-shoulder strap and carry handles like purse handles, rather than a bag with backpack straps. With backpack straps the bag is behind you and you can't see what's happening to it. Backpacks are also a pain if you're taking transit. A shoulder strap and carry handles let you carry the bag more easily and keep an eye on it. They also give you more choices on how to carry and wear the bag.

FWIW I didn't really like the idea of going on a bus, subway, train, whatever, with a clear bag displaying my valuables. So I take a scarf with me and put it at the bottom of the bag. Then if i want to hide something in the bag I just wrap the scarf around it. I've never gotten any grief at venue security about bringing the scarf in.
