Nice interview with Deniss from the Olympic.org website today:
From Youth Olympic Games to Pyeongchang 2018: Deniss Vasiljevs
Thanks for posting. And of course the wonderful cover photo they use is from Deniss' brilliant sp from the past, Puttin' on the Ritz that got him noticed and loved by so many fans in the first place.

Deniss worked hard on performing with greater consistency and energy over the course of the season, and it was a very good learning season for him. His Voodoo Child rock angst got better reviews as the season progressed. I think he got into performing it cleanly and energetically, to the point where he was more comfortable with it by Worlds. And his marks have been good, so the judges are continuing to take note of his talent. I still think the rock guitar 'Voodoo' does not suit Deniss, and he never truly interpreted it all that well, he just made sure to give off a lot of energy and attack, which made him seem more in command. It's not easy music to interpret for a skating program. Anyway, good riddance to that program.

I look forward to seeing what Deniss and Stephane will choose musically and choreographically for the Olympic season.
