Belita

I'm watching a noir 1946 movie titled Suspense, and the famous skater Belita starred in it. Her skating was exquisite. It was interesting to see the bent arms and legs and front hunching that defined Sonja Henie's skating, but with Belita I could see the "art" in her similarly bent body positions. Very cool. Ugly jump positions, but her skating overall is lovely. I especially liked the point work turns. I wonder why we don't see that today?
