Bachelorette Hannah

Of course there was drama! You should watch it on demand. Victoria F - so toxic. An ex of Peter's who knows Victoria showed up during the day portion of her hometown and told Peter that Victoria is a piece of work who has broken up relationships. So Peter asked her about it before he went inside her house to meet her family at night. And she started her normal pouting, crying, defensive, deflecting crap. And he left without meeting the family. She went to his hotel room to beg for another chance. So --- he gave her the rose at the rose ceremony! Eliminated Kelsey, who cries all the time, but hasn't really caused drama since Champagne-gate.
Here's a recap: https://ew.com/recap/the-bachelor-season-24-episode-8/

I normally record but for some reason the system did not work this week so I missed it.

My biggest challenge on this one is I fail to see how Peter is such a great catch...........he is very patient with crying women, I will give him that.

I read the recap. Sorry I missed it. VIctoria F is such a drama queen. Will she get the Bacherolette role if Pete gets sane and dumps her?

^^^ Good lord I hope not!! Although it would not surprise me at all if she does since we live in a society that loves to reward bad behavior. :blah:

Word in the press is that Kelsey is the front runner right now, but Bachelor has been known to have a preliminary contract with multiple people and actually film intro scenes with one contestant only to pull the switch and choose another.

So Madison doesn't care that Peter had well publicized windmill $e# 4 times? Was she hoping for Luke to be the Bachelor? Or is it just that he can't have relations with someone else a few days prior to a proposal? What show has she been watching?

Unfair to Hannah Ann and Victoria that they all stayed in the same suite, that has not happened before. They get subjected to such awkwardness just so they can set up Madison for angst.

Anyone notice the ad for Senior Bachelor: Over 65s who want to date. I guess they think Baby Boomers will watch it?
Funny, most of the young'uns go on Bachelor to improve their social media brand. Shucks, I am just 5 years too young and 30 years too married to become an influencer for Medicare Supp plans, walk in bath tubs, and Centrum Silver. LOL if some of them show up on Bachelor in Paradise!

I thought the thing with Madison expecting Peter to be pure was quite odd given the show, his past, etc. She actually dumped him for that at the end.

I can't believe the crying gal is still there. I would have bright orange and red lights flashing all over the place with her behaviour..........

The thing with Madison is that I do find it understandable when she says she couldn't except a proposal from someone who just had sex with someone else a few days earlier, especially given her background/beliefs. I can see how that would feel different than something he did in the past before he met you. But I don't think she really made herself clear to Peter.

In the conversation at the airport, it was pretty clear to me what she meant, but I'm not sure that it was clear to Peter. As a viewer, we've seen her confessionals and heard her talk to her family about it, but she never actually told Peter she was saving herself for marriage until their fantasy suite date. And because she kept saying she didn't want it to be an ultimatum, I could totally see his takeaway from that convo being that she's going to find it hard the way the women often say it's hard to think about him/the lead with the others and that he'd need to work through that with her. And not that she might leave over it or anything.

I think it's fine for her to want that and have those standards (though they may not be compatible due to that), but she probably should have talked about it sooner and been more direct about what she wanted.

Reality Steve says he's heard the following have interviewed for the next Bachelorette:

Tia
Tayshia
Kelsey

Others might be in the running but those three are the only ones he's heard of being formally interviewed. Doesn't know anything about the rumor that its Clare Crowley from Juan Pablo's season.

Hannah Brown was their number one choice but they could not come to an $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ agreement so she's out.

Oh my if they are looking for train wreck, then Clare it is! Wow. Tia annoys me for some reason - maybe it was the Colton obsession. Kelsey cries all the time. I vote for Tayshia. Anyone who would take on John Paul Jones is worthy!

We will won't have to wait much longer for the new Bachelorette naming. Going to be Monday on Good morning america.

With Clare being 38, all those 20 something influencers must be  if she gets named!

It would be neat if they could pick someone who is known in a sport to be bachelorette, like a former figure skater maybe?

Absolutely. Unless they edited out the exact words "I am a virgin and plan to stay that way until marriage", then she did not make it clear. Also, one date before this scenario (I don't watch too closely so can't say which time), they were having dinner and she talked about how important her faith was to her (again, nothing really specific). and the look on his face suggested he was surprised or embarassed. His reaction was kind of yeah, me too. Right then, she should have realized he was not on the same page as she was.

There are a LOT of "like, like, like, etc. Drives me crazy. And the crying, it is really excessive. Every single person on this show, including Peter, seems way too immature and insecure in their 'own skin" to get married. Just IMHO.

WHy do I watch this show? No idea!! :cold:
A little bit of drama on a boring Monday night?

And if Hannah comes back, I just might not watch, can't stand her whining.
She couldn't figure it out the first time, why would she do any better a second time? Honestly if you read the science of what people say is "love", it's alot of hormones and neurotransmitters going crazy in your brain. At some point, the amygdala stops working normally, which is why people can't make decisions. I hear so much about "follow your heart" but that is mostly the "urge to merge."

I'm very happy for Clare. Bought time someone older was cast as the female lead.

And very sad news about Tyler's mom. Difficult time for him and his family ahead.

Kelsey seemed more normal on the WTA show? Did you see it? Also, even VIctoria F seemed more normal. I guess the stress of the camera helps them or were they just acting?

The other girl, can't remember her name, kept rolling her eyes and really seemed like an immature, bad tempered individual throughout IMHO.

While the ladies are in the house, there is an unlimited supply of alcohol, and there are production staffers walking around egging them on, asking questions that will provoke a show worthy reaction (which means crying, making mean comments, or fighting), and then there is the fact that some of this behavior is quite contagious. The girls that aren't getting attention from the Bachelor need to act up to get noticed by the producers who are casting BiP. For example, Tammy (the eyeroller) was a little behind the scenes until she went after Kelsey and MyKenna, and now she is bound for BiP. They also know when they need image improvement, which was the case with Kelsey and Victoria F on WTA. Note that Madison did not engage in any of the hysterics, but she had Peter's attention from day 1.

The Bachelorettes have always been contestants from the Bachelor. With a couple of exceptions, the Bachelors were chosen from outside the show, usually because they were a "catch." Good looking and/or well to do businessmen, doctors, and even an actor, an NFL backup quarterback, and a Bassmaster (world champion bass fishing). They began regularly choosing the Bachelor from the Bachelorette contestants once the whole Bachelor Nation social network/influencer market and spin off shows got rolling.

Yeah the only early Bachelor that was an ex-Contestant was Bob from Trista's season. Then they went back to casting newbies but something happened with a couple of duds like Prince Doggy Shampoo (Lorenzo) and Matt Grant, the British guy so when Deanna broke single father Jason's heart, he was cast and since then, its been all retreds with dubious claims of being a "catch" coughColtoncough.

But Robert Mills, who runs ABC's alternative program department seems to have an idea that these 20 somethings aren't working so not a surprise that Clare was cast to change things up.

If Reality Steve's spoilers today are correct, it is going to be an entertaining couple of nights!

Yeah, what's the deal with his mother!! She is wwwaaayyy creepy. If I'm the girl and that's my potential hubby's mama, yikes!!!! I'll see you on holidays but other than that, stay away from me. And we'd be livin' on the other side of the country, that's for sure. :P
