Baby Question

How do they diagnose night terrors in a newborn? Are they sure he isn't in pain?

That's what I would think too, but I've never had a baby or a grandchild. They made it to and from Columbus for the weekend (IMO who takes a ~3 week old baby with a kidney infection 100 miles in the freezing cold <after a record warm December> to spend the night in a strange house full of teenagers?....) and had to take him to the doctor yesterday for the thrush. I'm sure I'll get an email in a couple days or a week that he's in the hospital for something, or the kidney surgery.

I spent the weekend just south of Columbus. It really was not that cold. And babies can be babies anywhere. Easier to travel with than toddlers. Cars even have heaters now in case you missed that innovation.

Is there any point at which you will think that you don't need to disapprove of everything they do?

She has always eaten strange things; the only example I can think of off the top of my head is putting loads of pepper on just about EVERYTHING.

Wow! My wife and I cannot "do" spicy, even a little bit of bell pepper in our three meat crock pot chile is just too much! When we got marred my wife's cousin gave us a Precious moments salt shaker and pepper grinder set and we threw away the pepper one because that is an evil seasoning. We call it the devils black balls and I thank the Lord that are local Wall Mart has the extra mild Pace Picantay sauce!

Any-way, this was an interesting piece to read, lot's of details and thought on how to deal with family, food, and male genitales. I will discuss it with my wife tomorrow and we will both try to post updated thought's!
