Are you ready for some Football (NFL style) - 2025/2026 season?

You mean the part where Mahomes reaches out to shake Branch's hand like all of the other players were doing? Come on now.
No, not that part. The part after that where, realizing Branch was going to give him the silent treatment, he grabbed Branch's arm not in a gesture of sportsmanship. JuJu sees this, and runs aggressively towards Branch's, ftom at least 10 yards away, shouting something - I'm guessing not in a spirit of sportsmanship - then holds out his hand.

ETA, everyone is in the wrong here, but Patrick escalated it and will of course walk around like he's completely in the right. He's really getting insufferable.

I officiated youth, high school and DIII sports for 20 years. Administered LOTS of post game mingling. Gestures of sportsmanship can only be given, not demanded or taken.

I think we all see what we want to see: I see a man being a good sport, you see a man being insufferable. I think this is where we agree to disagree.

I came here to say how excited I am for Baker Mayfield. I remember how he struggled in Cleveland so it is thrilling to see him lead Tampa Bay and make it look so effortless when we know it is anything but effortless. I feel the same way about Sam Darnold. I remember when he said he was seeing "ghosts" when he was playing for the Jets. He was young and the game moves so fast. Now he look so good with the Seahawks.

I think part of the problem (which really is a good thing) is the over abundance of excellent and MVP type quarterbacks in the NFL at this time and new ones emerging as they grow. I could look at every team and point to how the team has stars and high performers.

I've attended lots of local, select, high school, D2, college and recently a few Pro Teams. With a varying level of willingly given "good games" "I take no offense and hard hitting play" and walking away and physical blows.

I think how one interprets actions is subjective to how one feels about the situation leading up to it. I was in the middle (literally ducking blows from both sides) when one kid stomped on the chest of the opposing player. The offending player was not ejected, but penalized with a 15 yard penalty. Parents from both sides were in physical threats.

Yeah, I mean I don't care about either of these teams or players literally at all. I'm a patriots fan and I don't have a lot of time to watch even them. What I see is a player behaving in a normal after the game way and then another one walking across the field and throwing a slap. I don't think it's reasonable to deflect blame from the person who slapped another player after a game. Even if you think Mahomes was being "insufferable," walking across the field and slapping his teammate is not a reasonable or acceptable reaction. Neither Branch nor the Lions have tried to deflect blame.

Hey, what do you think of your QB? He is NOT afraid to air it out and throw it downfield.

Sorry @PRlady but as a miserable Cowboys fan I wish destruction on all the other NL east teams! But I’m torn because I really like Dan Quinn

Don’t we play each other next Sunday?

I have hated the Cowboys since the day I became a Redskins fan back in 1983.

Quinn is a silver fox.

I have a complaint: I MISS the burgundy in the uniforms. Two young quarterbacks getting after it last night. That was the better game. I was frustrated for Josh Allen and the Bills last night. Tbh I don't know anything about the Falcons except that the owner is generous when it comes to the fans.

The Bills are a shell of themselves! That was an amazing win by the Falcons as they usually find a way to lose rather than scheme a way to win! I've always liked the ownership & team even though on a "missing in action" watch list since the days of Sanders & Vick IMO! Remember this is the same Div. that sent a "losing record" team to the playoffs! Atlanta should have been able to do a little bit more over the years only making the 2 Super Bowls! They had good players; QB's Ryan & Smith very impressive! Too bad they couldn't finish off the cheating Patriots in SB LI! :40beers: :grandpa:⛱️:p

I guess I need to give the Falcons more time. I love that the owner tries to make it affordable for the fans. He can't be making much in the way of concession revenue with these prices:

Hot Dogs: 2 bucks, Vegan Dogs: 3 bucks, Super pretzel: 2 bucks, Nachos: 3 Bucks and so on.

It's been yrs. since I attended a live event! These offerrings would entice me back! Unfortunately The ATL has a serious fan problem! Going back decades when the Hawks & Braves were elite teams, empty seats were unavoidable even in the playoffs! Football is on top so a bad team gets traffic! Those affordable concessions must help! Back in 2000, took a friend to a SF Giants' game! I can tell you I barely got change back from a $20 for meager amount of snacks; making me feel "taken!" :grandpa: :40beers::wall:
