Are you ready for some Football (NFL style) - 2025/2026 season?

KC shot itself in the foot. You can't win with that many penalties. You cant
And yet I’m already more enthralled with this offense then I was at anytime last year. They are FINALLY looking like earlier teams. I would say the Chargers loss was bad because they were flat and Andy was right to take responsibility for that. But the Eagles and the Jaguars are good. They have more tough teams ahead too. I would say making the playoffs is a big goal. I think home field advantage is out.

That was some deeply stupid pass interference there at the end.
And then there was the blatant interference when McDuffie intercepted Trevor Lawrence after their receiver was knocked down and it wasn’t called. I groaned knowing “the refs are helping the Chiefs” would be be front and center if they won. I know the refs are human but they can’t miss those obvious fouls.

As much as I cheer for my team, it breaks my heart to see sad games. Especially when teams lose a main player, QBs early in the season when there was such high expectations of fans/league.

While we expect to get our starting QB back after the bye week, my Vikings have been hard-hit by injuries to their starters on both sides of the ball, so I do sympathize. We barely managed to pull out a win this week, against the Browns, and I'm not really loving our chances with the gauntlet we have ahead of us: Eagles, Chargers, Lions and Ravens coming up. Yes, I know the Ravens are limping through the season, but so are we at this point.

The Chargers are clearly beatable (she says wickedly) and so are the Eagles as they both lost last week. It’s an interesting season.

It certainly is—I have a lot of respect for Mike Vrabel but I was not expecting his Patriots to beat the Bills at home. Or to see the Commanders wallop the Chargers so soundly. That was scary good. Colin Cowherd has Detroit as number one this week of all teams and of course the Chiefs play them Sunday. Ugh.

Some good nicknames for Trevor Lawrence's fall twice then scramble for a touchdown:

Trip 6
DuFALL (Jacksonville is in Duval County)

That's why they call it "an upset" & a surprise! No one thought it possible even w/ the Divisional rivalry so lopsided! :scream: 😕:grandpa:🆒

The Giants beat the Eagles? I’m glad I don’t bet football anymore.

(Don’t get excited, it was the office pool, but I was pretty good at beating the spread.)

It was a sound beating too. New York football has been dismal for awhile. I bet the fans are over the moon right now.

That's why they call it "an upset!" Who'd think Philly would continue this fall from grace after winning their Super Bowl? The same talk was had about KC! You can't win them all! Equalization has been happening over the yrs.! Super teams can't keep it going forever or KC wouldn't have won their 3rd in a row! They didn't; wasn't even a contest! Buffalo lost to NEW England! Who'd of thought that would happen, but it did? :wall: :grandpa:😱

Lions have the better record. But my sports page says Chiefs are favored? Don't get that
But Worthy, Pacheco, Smith Shuster had a good possession

You mean when the ball was hiked to Montgomery?
I find illegal motion and illegal formation plays the MOST confusing of all penalties. And that one with Goff was completely new to me. Detroit's offensive line is magnificent. Spags and the defense were able to counter but it took time. Detroit gets all of those injured players and back and I imagine they are a major contender for the Superbowl. I'm still more thrilled with our offense (even with the losses) than last year.

I had NFL Redzone on earlier and there were so many close games in the noon timeslot. I'm not sure there is one great team but many good teams. Fun season if you are a fan...

Sorry, but Lions are "snake-bit" & unfortunately one of the unluckiest team in the league along w/ Cleveland Browns! Neither has had a sniff of a Super Bowl though having great teams w/ franchise QB's & RB's over the years! I'm still SMH from '95 w/ Scott Mitchell in the playoffs against Philly! The Eagles were actually utilizing a backup QB in Pete; Cunningham bowing out due to wife's childbirth! After Mitchell's 6th interception in the 3rd quarter, they went to their backup QB! The ending score being 58-37 to the Eagles; a track meet of mistakes & incompetence by Detroit unfortunately! :wall::40beers:🚒⚰️

Nothing would have happened if Mahomes hadn't grabbed Branch's arm to start the whole thing, but I'm sure Branch will be the fined the most or suspended because Lions vs. Everybody.

From what I can see Mahomes touched his arm and patted him on the shoulder and turned to shake the hand of the next Detroit player. I would say the people in trouble for this will be Branch, Ju Ju and quite possibly Pachecho which will be painful losses for both teams next week if they face suspension. Branch was unlucky as he was the first player Mahomes saw as the clock expired and went to do what players do when play ends. I wish it would have been any other Lion.

Watched "Get Up" and they put it all on Branch because Ju Ju put his hand out to shake and then got hit. Branch is a great player. It was a bad moment. I'd rather just forget it tbh.

My neighbor who was an NFL player in the late 80's told me last year, that by the end of the season every single player is hurting and injured in some way.

This year I think it is earlier this year - there are a lot of injuries in my opinion. Whether it is because the pre season is shorter or because the veteran players aren't as prepared or what I don't know. Branch is injured, many of his coworkers defensive players are injured and not on the field I don't know. The Chiefs got some of their starters back this week.

Jason Kelce said in one of his interviews last spring, the public does not see or hear the locker room taunting. Whether or not there was on field taunting, I don't know. I do know from attending games - the crowd loves it when the announcers turn on "you have the right to party"

I do know you have good fans and bad sports fans. The Lions fans were very helpful when I fell down the stairs during the Lions/Chiefs fans last years pre season. The

Every team in the NFL and College and High School and younger have incidents of lost tempers. Everyone is wanting to win. It gets nasty anymore.
