2026 Worlds in Prague - info & planning thread

After a long time, I bought tickets for a world championship again. I plan to travel to the competition directly from home. However, the train I want to take will arrive after the competition has already started. Do you know if people are allowed into the arena after the competition has started?

I'm pretty sure that's the case, some people only join for the later groups!

Anyone having an issue using the QR code for your ticket? The QR code on the ticket is not working. I contacted the organizing committee, and they said there is no way the QR code would not work. Well....

Thanks for flagging!

I'll be in the US and don't especially want to get up at 5 am. Any Europe-based FSUers planning to buy a ticket to the women's free and willing to buy one more for me? Happy to take any seat and to pay immediately.

If you are willing to pay 7480CZK each, a new set of seats called club seats have been added (category 5) for women FS, men FS, RD, FD and exhibition behind 114 and 115 sections.

I suppose that, given the price, there will be a food service?

 I'm curious, what are you trying to use the QR code for? (I assumed it would only be valid on the event day to admit entry into the venue so haven't tried doing anything else with it.)

I was just checking out the pre-competition FAQ page, and it appears they aren't allowing personal cameras into the arena. A bit annoying, but better to know in advance I suppose.
Are you referring to the graphic? It says cameras on tripods or with "professional-level" lenses. Point and shoot cameras (and phones) should be fine under those rules. Those who have a camera with a larger lens should probably inquire as to what constitutes "professional". Each arena seems to have its own rule.

It also lists "Data, image and/or sound recording devices (except for mobile phones and tablets)" as prohibited.
That could mean (large) video cameras. I suspect the purpose is to prevent reselling/sharing of professional-level recordings or photos in order to protect their credentialed broadcasters and photographers. I would advise people to ask ahead of time. I doubt they would be concerned about small, personal use cameras, since they do the same thing as phones and tablets.

The maximum bag size needs to be 30cm x 20cm x 15cm - so clear bags (12in x 12in - approx. 30cm x 30cm) are not allowed? 🤔

ETA, the policy on O2 arena website says 40x30x20cm.

Also, can people use Visa at O2 arena? The website only shows Mastercard.

From the email they sent today it seems not only one will not be able to bring anything, but they will also make you pay if you do.

What should you bring with?

  • Your ticket
  • Wallet
  • Phone
  • A good mood
  • Any other essential items you cannot do without (such as keys, etc.)
Please leave everything else at home. This will help us ensure that security checks at the entrance to the O2 arena run smoothly and that you won’t miss the opening session.

If you need to store a laptop, suitcase, umbrella, or other items, there will be four luggage storage / deposit boxes available around the O2 arena.

Price list:
Small items: CZK 20 (e.g. knife, umbrella, food)
Medium items: CZK 50 (e.g. small backpack, bag, folding stroller)
Valuable and large items: CZK 100 (e.g. laptop, tablet, camera, suitcase, big backpack)

Ugh, I hate that cutesy corporate tone.

It says elsewhere that people can bring in banners or plushies to throw, but those aren’t going to fit in a 30x20x15cm bag.
