The Browns were actually used as an example at the ISU Dance Seminar I attended last year showing how the use of the 90s theme should be done.

This rd from the Shibs almost seems self sabotaging. Easier to accept not making the team if you give people an undercooked program that isn’t anywhere near your best? The previous rd was so far superior to this it is somewhat shocking to me that they actually did this program. I know they said judges feedback said to change the program, but one has to assume even they know this is a crap program? Just crazy.

I don't know about you all, but I could do without the mics in the ice.

It's distracting and annoying. It reminds me of the time several years ago when I went to my gym before Christmas and a woman had large jingle bells on her shoes. She tromped around jingling until everyone wanted to kill her. It would have been a justifiable homicide, in my opinion.

Honestly, Maia and Alex and their team, such as it is, must have thought they had a shot at the Olympics, but it seemed clear going in to Nationals that they didn't, which makes ditching the program they really liked to please the judges seem kind of silly.

If you not making the Olympic team, just skate the program you enjoy the best you can.

Joining in late to say:
1. Peacock/USA sound mix is so chaotic. Ben A. is the one commentator we desperately want to hear and his voice is buried under the music. Plus there's a totally unnecessary mic that pumps up the distracting scritchy scritch scritch of blades on ice.

2. I always enjoyed the Shibutani's famous fast twizzles and not only did they mess them up, they look slow compared to the first flight teams. The scores were too high.

3. I"m getting stressed out wondering how coaches will make it from St. L. to Canadian nationals.

I can't see them bridging a 3.5 point gap to make it onto the 4CCs team let alone the 8+ point gap to catch up to BraSom.

I don't trust the judging. But yeah I hope we don't have to hear that chalk on fingernails song again after the free dance comp

Spin, spin, spin. They're nowhere near the Olympic team, so they have to spin that that wasn't their goal and coming back in the Olympic season was a total coincidence.

Agree with Tony and others that Bratti & Somerville are the "dark horse" couple and their RD scores look high enough to top Neset & Markelov to make the final group for FD. They did win a US bronze medal in 2024 before their disastrous 23rd place finish at Worlds.
