N/M's program is two exquisite costumes but a nonsensical dance. They are good but the lifts were very awkward tonight, lots of rough transitions out of most of them.

Cut is entirely different too. The gazebo dress had long, puffy sleeves. The ball dress had butterfly cap sleeves. Neither were an empire waist style. Why are you arguing with a seamstress?

It felt like they had significantly more speed and power when they were juniors. Maybe their programs were more open then and the added complexity is making them slower. The transition from junior to senior is always the roughest in dance.
