2026 Olys Team Event PBP Day 3 - When Your Bum Hits the Ice and Your Legs In the Sky - That's Errore!

2 seasons ago Amber would have completely fallen apart. This time around she stood up on everything and settled down a lot for the 2nd half of her skate. I hope she doesn't take this too hard, because I can see the mental improvements from her. Also hoping that she got some of the nerves out now so that the individual goes better.

TBH, I hope Amber doesn't come in FIRZT! Light a fire under her butt

I’m sorry but throughout the years, I never understood the hype behind Amber speaking strictly of skating. Like the fans here seem so into her and she just seems… there.
I can't speak for all of her fans, but I'm a fan of Amber herself separate from her skating, which I find hit or miss. I love her bravery in speaking up for her beliefs, for being out, and for speaking up for out athletes at the Olympics. It's incredible bravery. She acts as a mother/supportive figure to many young athletes, regardless of their country. She's always an underdog and we all love an underdog. I love that she embraces being a role model. Her skating to me is secondary. Though I am less than thrilled with her today for hurting Team Italy.

I am living for KaoriScream. That needs to be the anthem of these Olympics. Hockey. Snowboarding. Luge.

NBC must be pissing itself with happiness over the drama. They better not sic Andrea Joyce on Amber.

I suspect I'm the only one on FSU who is pulling for a bronze for Georgia. I couldn't care less which of Japan or the US wins gold, but Georgia has never won an Olympic medal and this is the best chance they've ever had. So, Nika, keep your focus and stay on your feet boy. Pretend this is Europeans.

I'm with you in the minority. And this program is super-flat when she's not clean & selling the heck out of it.
Or maybe switch Alysa to the FP and have Amber do the SP.
Nope. She's already throwing out excuses about this being her first time on Olympic ice in the backstage interview with Andrea Joyce. For all the folks who are dying for the geriatric ice dancers to retire, I'm looking forward to Amber the headcase hanging up her competitive skates at the end of this season.

Also, I think she has made this sport less toxic with her ability to be friends with her competitors. (And with being out.) Seeing all the mutual respect between the top Women skaters has been refreshing.

I'm with you!

The reality is incremental improvements in mental fortitude are not enough to be on top of the podium and reach her true potential. Time is not on her side.

This isn’t a step back, but she needs to be two steps ahead on her nerves not one.

She scored scored higher than Mirai Nagasu who had a clean triple axel and much better spins. She should be happy. I am sure if Mirai could have had a double axel seq and would have have probably have a higher score but still.
