2026 Olys Team Event PBP Day 3 - When Your Bum Hits the Ice and Your Legs In the Sky - That's Errore!

I've been making skating friends outside FSU recently, and everyone wants to chat during the Olympics. So I'm posting here and texting one friend and FB messaging another. And posting on Bluesky. This is getting a little nuts. (Especially when one went off on a long tangent about Vonn during pairs. I feel really bad for Vonn, but it's skating time!)

the normies have started to text me about Alysa's hair and I have no answers for them other than it makes her happy
I think it's something they do in Japan to be fashionable.

I didn’t know she played MTG - I think it’s neat she’s geeky like that and MTG is easy to pick up but difficult to master. At least from the students I see, Pokemon seems a lot more popular than MTG, so I think Amber’s pretty unique in that and not a trend-chaser
Also, D&D. IME, MTG is more popular among Millennials.

But I think people are also missing the point. She's trying to say that she has a life outside of skating with hobbies and stuff. A lot of skaters just skate and leave hobbies for when they retire.

I know Maddie loves this program, but it just doesn’t feel like it goes with her skating, and the music seems to be overwhelming the entire program

Nice comeback for Schizas. Did she change her program on the fly or had she modified her layout to do 3Lz2A2A and three combos all in the second half? If she changed all of that on the fly, it was impressive.
Tara said she changed it on the fly after falling on the 3Z to open since it was supposed to be a 3Z+3T.
