She caught her elbow in the pickets. That caused the crash. She qualified in her training run, therefore she could compete. It's not like figure skating with alternates.EH, was the crash related to her ACL or was it the type of crash that could have happened to any of these skiers?
My question with Vonn not withdrawing is how realistically likely would she have competed well? And was there a skier in line (who wasn’t already in the Olympics in another event) who was healthy enough to compete?
