2026 Milano-Cortina Olympics - Figure Skating Qualification

Four of the additional pairs spots to be contested in Beijing. ( AUS, GEO, UZB, HUN) do not have entries on the start orders

That adds 4 spots to the already 3 to be given out in Beijing, i believe.

The other spot from UZB will be returned at the deadline for declaration later in the year.
The countries who had the chance to earn a 2nd and 3rd spot were still fighting for one out of the 3 available. Those spots weren't being saved for them, so it doesn't change the number available at the Qualifier. If the UZB spot is returned, then it should go to the 4th place team.

...and the additional Georgia Man is also not on the start orders...taking the 5 Men's spots up to 6

This is not correct.

Those countries earned the right to send an entry to this event to qualify an ADDITIONAL spot on top of the ones earned in Boston. They have not exercised that right, so they will have only 1 pairs team or men's spot at the Olympics. None of those countries have, with the possible exception of UZB, relinquished the spots they have earned.

There are still only 5 men's spots available this week.

There MAY be 4 pairs spots available since UZB's Geynish/Chigirev split over the summer and neither have partners who are eligible to represent UZB yet. Geynish's rumored partner is Marco Zandron, who last competed for Spain with Brooke McIntosh in February, so he won't be released until after the CTES deadline for the Olympics. Rumor for Chigirev is he was having tryouts with some Russian women, but no word as to the success of any tryouts or whether or not a potential partner would need a release from the RFSF, which could be a problem since Sikharulidze has been quoted in the Russian press this summer saying they won't be approving any release requests until next May.

Thanks for this RoseRed...you are absolutely correct.
