I love this pair so very much, but this is not a good program. Not the performance of it, but the music just doesn't go anywhere and the choreography ends up being blah as a result.

I don't think that was on ANYONE's bingo card this week. I'm really sad that they've regressed the last couple seasons. If anything, maybe this takes somewhat of the pressure off in Milan and they can go in under the radar. Maybe going back to the program that won them the 24 Worlds? I have no idea but something is off and it seems to be getting worse, not better.

Deanna is very intense and perfectionist, which isn't necessarily a bad thing in skating. But I wonder if her being so focused on Olympic gold is just too much intensity to sustain.

It was promising enough at Skate Canada I thought. Of course that was assuming they’d improve from there.

At this point, Deanna and Max need to just throw a Hail Mary and go back to Vampire. Then at least they will have both good short and long programs. At that point, it’s hoping and praying for a miracle and finally skating better at the Olympics.
