I saw a mention of a designer costume yesterday. But I expected it would be a trendy interesting designer, not a label that had its heyday in the 1980s...

Oh, I'd say Oscar de la Renta is still close to the top of the game. I've been known to peruse the Neiman Marcus & Saks websites and de la Renta has some absolutely gorgeous evening dresses. I might be wrong but I think Lilah Fear was wearing one of their dresses for the GPF gala dinner last month.
