Whatever the rotation issues today, that was a very enjoyable skate from Grassl.

I want them to look to the future and build up the younger guys so by the time of the Olympics, they are ready having a few cracks at Worlds under their belts. Instead, they are acting like the Democratic Party. ;)
They did that in Torgashev, who has placed outside the top 20 at Worlds twice now. No other guys are really setting the standings on fire even though they are repeatedly sent to events throughout each and every season. Jimmy delivered in one competition this year, and he's not young. Broussard is the next big hope and he was injured.

Who these men are that aren't getting any chances continues to be beyond me. This isn't Skate Canada-- the US guys get chances.

And had they sent Torgashev and a man not named Brown, we probably were looking at 2 spots for the Olympics anyways without a chance at a 3rd so... what good does 'cracks' at Worlds do in that case?

Jason literally left the door open so wide it was off its hinges and decorated it with neon signs and flashing lights. Nobody walked through it.

While I appreciate the snarky analogy, I'm not 100% on board with it - it's not as though the USFS hasn't given the "younger" guys lots of chances - they've all had 4CCs assignments & a couple of them have been to Worlds twice now. At this point, I'm perfectly fine with writing the whole lot of them off & giving chances to the likes of Jacob Sanchez and maybe Patrick Blackwell (and Lucas Broussard if he's healthy) and see what they can do with the opportunities.

The jumps looked stiffer here than a Worlds - he needs to spend some time with a Japanese coach while in the country to learn how to use his knees.

Lol when did you sneak in? I was about to say five minutes ago I can’t wait to go through a Daniel program without Tony chirping in our 👂

Eh. And no one’s walk through it in a long time lol. Jason is allowed to have some Boot issues and then return back to his previous form. We can allow him that.

LOL - I appreciate the finger-pointing at the camera from Yuma right before he got on the ice.

I mentioned he was doing 4F at Worlds practices really nicely- new for him. I guess we can assume he will do 4F and 4Lz+3T next season in the SP.

Just a struggle on the jumps today, and even the non-jump elements weren't sharp.
