Is opening an umbrella indoors not considered bad luck in Japan?

And damn. That's another point I definitely wasn't expecting the USA to gain over Japan.

+3 for a 3A with zero, absolutely zero flow or runout. But it's WTT and it doesn't matter. :cheer2:

Still his best competitive program by miles and miles.

4F - 3-turns on the landing
3A
Change Foot Camel Spin 4

Flying Sit Spin 4
Change Foot Combo Spin 4

Step Sequence 4

The raspberry looks like it's getting sloppier in the air - not as tight as it was in previous seasons.

I'm guessing some of the judges are at least as enamored as Chris is by how that 3A just comes from out of nowhere with absolutely no prep. It's really insane how easy the jump is for him, regardless of the flow or runout.

2F+COMBO
3A
Change Foot Camel Spin
3 (4 after review)
4Lz! - step out
Step Sequence 4 (3 after review)
Flying Sit Spin 3

Change Foot Combo Spin 4

Just a struggle on the jumps today, and even the non-jump elements weren't sharp.

69.20 = 6th Place
@tony Memola got points (0.90) for the double flip - should that no be an invalid element in the short program? It was called 2F+COMBO.

Because they are assuming it to be the +COMBO, the 2F would’ve been legal with a 3T, for example. So he gets the minimal points there. If he would have done a 2F+2T, it would've been called 2F+2T* with the toe loop, the lesser-valued element, receiving no credit.

So GEO brings two skaters back from retirement so they can get two last place finishes. Isn't that the same points they would have gotten if those skaters just didn't show up? Or do you have to field a full team to be here?

No. They get 0.

And these skaters get a nice payday for showing up and fielding a complete team, anyways.
