What a well skated event. Ilia not quite at his best but still completely dominant.

Masterclass from Ilia. He has improved so much since first coming onto the scene. He’s converted me as a fan and is so great for the sport to give it more visibility, credibility and excitement.

I really like the first half of Ilia's SP, the steps into the 3A are crazy. The hip hop portion isn't sharp enough with the movement though.

I can almost get into the first half of the program, and then music change happens, and it becomes nonsensical. I'm trying to come up with something quippy to say about the glittery belt that he's wearing, but nothing good is coming to mind.

I love all the beginning moves. Great short program. That slide move kills my hamstrings for him.

Ilia!! No one skates like him, no one. He will be my all-time favorite male skater cause he is perfection technically and then he is so interesting on the ice. I adore him. What he can make his body do is phenomenal.

Backflip was two-footed, though. I know, it's the tiniest nit to pick,but I loved that he was the only guy landing it one-footed, so I'm gonna whine when he doesn't.

It’s by design, no? I think he reserves the one foot for the LP.

It's a choice he's made, this season, in the SP, to land the backflip on both feet. I don't mind it.

Well, the men really came to play. A very enjoyable event. Count me in on the "horrible costume" side for Ilia but the boy can skate!! No question he should lead by a lot but, tbh, the performance I enjoyed watching the most was Aleksandr Selevko.

I almost missed Ilia--three seconds into Egadze, I got an alert for a student request for a college recommendation and that sounded more interesting.

I do like Ilia's program OK, but this music is wretched. I think I'd prefer the AI from the Czechs

He does it one footed in the FS.

Judge #3 gave Ilia a +5 on his StSq and a 9.50 for SS. She also gave Kevin a +2 on his StSq and an 8.25 for SS. Girl, what's your problem?

Kevin's on his IG posting that he had a small injury a month ago and wasn't able to practice how he's wanted to. I've seen him landing quads in the last few weeks in practice clips, so I don't think it is anything that would set him back.

Yea but his last two spins had negative goe and I feel like they really damper the program. If he work on those he can still go up.

Thought Tomoki was lowballed on PCS and should have gotten a 4 on his step sequence.

How did Nika get away without any rotation calls on that toe? Thought that was clearly < in real time.
