Choi should be off the men's list, since he's on the JGP, right? And I thought only the CS medalists in singles got their scores updated for the list last season, so wouldn't Jaekeun Lee be a little further down? Or maybe I've misremembered that.

Good catch. I'll edit to remove his name.
And I thought only the CS medalists in singles got their scores updated for the list last season, so wouldn't Jaekeun Lee be a little further down? Or maybe I've misremembered that.
That's what we thought last season until Sadovsky moved up the Alternates List post-Nebelhorn where he finished 5th but improved his SB score. Then it happened again with a couple of other skaters/dance teams after the early October Challengers, so I'm operating under the assumption that if you're on the Alternate List and improve your SB then you move up, regardless of whether you medal or not. The only skaters/dance teams who are added to the Alternates List are those who WIN a Challenger.

Well drat ... I won't be able to join into any of the "live" discussions for the Grand Prix de France because I will be away visiting family during that weekend. Should have checked the GP schedule before I booked my flight .. lol. And then, of course, Cup of China "live" viewing/chatting is pretty difficult when you live on the Atlantic coast of Canada. So, it's looking like it will be Skate Canada before you will be hearing much from me. But, c'est la vie. I'm really looking forward to this season ... always exta exciting when it's an Olympic year. Will be interesting to see how the returns of Sui/Han and the Shibutanis will shake things up. As a great man has been known to occasionally say, these are the types of things that could "set the cat amongst the pigeons."

Try it if you can. I’m watching the junior Grand Prix the past two weeks from Spain. And then GP of France, I will do from Germany.

Sidenote, it does not look good for S/H

Where did 235.23 come from for Selevko? He got 235.7 at Cranberry, and his 2024-25 SB was 234.56. How did they come up with the .23?

Remind me...of last years pairs alternate list, how far did we get down the list by the end of GP season?
11 withdrawals/replacements/assignments for 9 teams from the Alternates List -

Aug 9th - NHK - Japan did not use their 3rd host spot - assigned to Danilova/Tsiba
Sept 13th - SkAm - McBeath/Parkman assigned to 3rd host spot
Sept 17th - GPdF - Peng/Wang split - assigned to Efimova/Mitrofanov (Peng/Wang were also assigned to CoC & that host spot went to Wang/Zhu)
Sept 23rd - SCI - Canada did not use their 3rd host spot - assigned to Geynish/Chigirev
Sept 24th - GPdF - Piegad/Strekalin withdrew - assigned to Geynish/Chigirev
Oct 16th - NHK - Plazas/Fernandez withdrew - assigned to Vaipan-Law/Digby
Oct 16th - CoC - Plazas/Fernandez withdrew - assigned to McBeath/Parkman
Oct 16th - CoC - Zhang/Jia withdrew - assigned to Chtchetinina/Wozniak
Oct 21st - SCI - Beccari/Guarise withdrew - assigned to Chtchetinina/Wozniak
Oct 31st - NHK - Beccari/Guarise withdrew - assigned to Gamez/Korovin who could not accept as they did not have time to acquire visas; spot then was assigned to Martins/Bedard
Nov 10th - Finlandia - Golubeva/Giotopoulos Moore withdrew - assigned to Nagaoka/Moriguchi
Nov 11th - CoC - Yang/Deng withdrew - assigned to Gamez/Korovin

So far, this season -
Zhang/Huang (Finlandia initial assignment) - assigned to CoC host spot
Beccari/Guarise - assigned to CoC spot vacated by Geynish/Chigirev withdrawal

Still waiting on the following assignments:
1) SkAm spot vacated by Geynish/Chigirev withdrawal (should go to Beccari/Guarise)
2) NHK host spot - should go to Nagaoka/Moriguchi as there aren't any other senior-eligible Japanese pairs teams
3) SkAm host spot - ??? possibly McBeath/Parkman or Chan/Howe for a 2nd assignment or Liu/Bedard as an initial assignment

Pairs is always the discipline that has the most withdrawals, so I think it's safe to expect several more in the next 1-2 months.
