Alas, the jump content just isn't there today for Liam. I cannot help but mourn the fact that he went to Vancouver rather than Irvine when he left Wenatchee for elite training.

3f, 3s, spreadeagle into a 2a-2t, 3z-3t shaky on the toe, he is paying attention to the music, another 2a, a lot of double axels (3) in this performance, basics are fine. There's just no jump consistency

3s, fall into boards on 4t, I like this music, has some highs and lows, 3a-3t, 3r, composition is pretty good, elements are connected nicely, axel turned into a waltz jump with hand down, and then doubles galore, I like that he kept going with performing the program, but lots of struggles today

It seems to be new - when I saw him at the Skate Ontario event a couple of weeks ago he was wearing one I had seen before (lots of gold sparkles).

I just don't know. I know he's a crowd favorite but he's slow, he's chasing that 4S that never seems to work, his Lutz is a flutz, his toe loop is massively toe Axeled, his Axel skids off the take-off as much as Lysacek used to do, his spins are slow, his footwork is slow, and I feel like he's actually regressed. He was showing improvement before leaving his old coach Gregorio Nunez but now he's lost a lot of the spark that made him stand out at one point. Canadian coaches..

Right? I know it's early in the season but he's doing almost nothing with the music, like he could be skating to anything.
