Turning off my stream before I can see the score this will get… The combo was awesome, though.

Great job, Misha! You deserve to collapse on the ice like that at the end! And to give the double fist pumps! 👏 from my sofa!

I see him working hard with his ballet instructor constantly on social media and I know he wants to improve his skating, but there really is nothing to this program for the first 2.5 minutes. PCS should not be above 80,
His performance quality was the best I've seen this season though. Not amazing but he's improving.

I just have no words, really. I can't wait to show my husband this performance tomorrow. He is a "Canadian" fan all the way, and there's nothing wrong with that, BUT I'm a figure skating fan and I don't give a hoot where they come from ... I just love brillance ... and I just saw it.

Internationally, he's only done that 2 out of the 4 times he's competed internationally this year. I see so many WILL WILL WILL proclamations across the board lately, but nothing's a given.
I like his odds of breaking 300 at Worlds than any other man's odds.

So, it's 10 years since Kazakhstan won. We will never forget Denis Ten. And, now, Mikhail Shaidorov is carrying the torch forward. I'm just so happy for him. A world championship is a real possibility for him in the future if he continues to progress.

PML, my 2nd laptop battery died, so I was back to haiku posting, then my cell phone battery died

I know there were a lot of imperfect skates, but I thought that was a great competition. So thrilled for Jimmy, Cha was amazeballs, and I love Shaidorov and his weird random music meltdown.

Okay. But he did it at Worlds last year and I expect him to do it again as scores tend to get pretty high there.

Either way, I still don't see the competition as him vs. Shaidorovare and/or Britchgi. Like you, I think his main competition is Kagiyama and maybe Adam but I'm not a big fan of Adam's skating so I don't claim to judge him fairly.

I don't think Adam is massively in the 'favorite' picture this year. Maybe he can get it back together in this time between Euros and Worlds, but he was tight there and the jumps didn't look very assured.

I do think Shaidorov is definitely in the picture for a medal, though, with a group of others- Sato, Cha among them. I mean depending which Aymoz shows up he could even realistically be in the picture with duplicated Skate America performances.

Britschgi is a question mark for Worlds as it is.

Well, that's it for me. 4:13am here in Halifax but it was worth it. I won't see light of day until close to noon tomorrow. For those of you who can stay up, enjoy the Free Dance. I'll see it when I can and, as usual, enjoy your comments. Good night.

Sato is the biggest question mark, even moreso than Britschgi, because his skating has been a mess since the GPF. J-Nats, FISU Winter Games, AWG... If he can get back to GPF form, then I'd say he's a medal favorite, but at this point, I'm not sure he's going to finish high enough to help Japan secure 3 spots.

I agree about the rest, plus Memola perhaps.
