2025-26 Peacock Streaming

Ted Barton is scheduled to commentate on the ISU world feed for Skate America and am expecting him to be on Peacock too.

  • Tiles are up for Skate America competition. *Note - Some of the tiles are for 2 competitions, thus, there are 5 tiles that cover all the competitions. I have a feeling we will have American commentators for all of it and not Mark or Chris. :(
  • There are new tiles up for additional practices.
  • There are a couple of tiles up for Midwestern Sectionals next week. I'm sure more will be added.
@A.H.Black may be correct? NBC Sports' press release: https://www.nbcsports.com/pressbox/olympics/press-releases/reigning-world-figure-skating-champions-alysa-liu-and-ice-dance-team-of-madison-chock-and-evan-bates-headline-nbc-sports-coverage-of-2025-saatva-skate-america-live-this-weekend-on-nbc-e-and-peacock
For all coverage on NBC and E! (which is simulstreamed on Peacock), Terry Gannon handles play-by-play, joined by 1998 Nagano Olympic gold medalist Tara Lipinski and three-time U.S. champion Johnny Weir. 2022 Beijing Olympic ice dance gold medalist Gabriella Papadakis will serve as an analyst on ice dance coverage, and Andrea Joyce will serve as reporter.

Actually, all of the tiles aren't there. Here is what they currently have listed:

Pairs SP - Nov 14
Rhythm Dance & Pairs FS - Nov 15
Women's SP & Men's FS - Nov 15
Men's FS - Nov 15
Free Dance & Women's FS - Nov 15

Even scrolling through the Live & Upcoming tiles there is no listing for the Men's SP and the FD & Women's FS is listed for the wrong day. Hopefully the idiots at Peacock get their stuff fixed.

I just looked at the Peacock tiles and discovered that the Pairs SP is on 11/14 at 6:53 p.m. ALL other competitions are on 11/15!! The RD & Pairs FS are scheduled for 2:00 followed 12 minutes later at 2:12 p.m. by the FD and Women's Free Skate. The Women's FS is followed by the Women's SP and Men's FS at 6:13 p.m. It seems the Men's FS is being followed by another FS at 8:04 p.m. - probably to punish them for not doing a SP.

Somebody at Peacock has a lot of mistakes to fix!

I may just watch this from a distant land via VPN.

Yeah, there should be 12 tiles total I think - eight individual event tiles and four for the E!/NBC TV coverage options (not including practice cams).

Great. I wonder if we could challenged Jackie and Jean-Luc to a contest to see if either one of them could form a succinct sentence; to the point and without a tangent in it. I bet they can't do it. I enjoy them a lot, but sheesh.

Oh dear. I’ve never watched their practice coverage before since I’ve always been on site, so this will be a new experience for me. I enjoy Jackie’s weekly podcasts with Michelle Ellis.

My favorite issue with the Skate America broadcast so far is that the description for the Friday, Nov 14 7:30 pm ET broadcast on E says: "Repeat (10/27/02): From Spokane, Wash. Skaters include Sarah Hughes, Michael Weiss and Alexei Yagudin."

Maybe the powers that be at NBC are trying to get ahead of the 2000s decade theme by proactively re-airing the 2002 Skate America??
