No way Jose, you’re always calling under rotations on everybody from here to Mars, the only thing I see with Glenn’s loop is maybe was two footed but it’s fully rotated

It’s beyond frustrating that her triple axel got no GOE, that’s crazy. It should have positive GOE.
I swear some of you are delusional even when the evidence is slowed down for you.

The ice FLIES UP IN THE AIR when her toe pick of her free foot hits facing forward - the complete wrong direction

Clean as a whistle, a possible two footed Landing, that Loop is clean, you won’t convince me otherwise. You’d call under rotations on Tonya Harding and Midori Ito as well.

Where is the under rotation in the landing foot, what I do see is a 2 footed Landing I think. But the jump is fully rotated

You need to come to the Harem and take the edge off. Or at least have a whiskey.
She's literally facing forwards. She needs to turn a half rotation (on the ice) to land on the back outside edge. :wall:

Nope. And neither does the technical panel, the judges, the people in attendance or the omnipresent ANL see it your way.

You need to escape the Florida heat

Just no.

You can see her free foot toe pick hit the ice almost a full 1/2 rotation short. The ice flies up. Literal insanity that it came off as 'clean'.

Was this from the broadcast? Curious if the panel had this view. I was watching from the other side of the rink, but I probably still had a better view than the judges. I was instantly suspicious of this jump, as it had many of the hallmarks of an underrotated jump and some of the indicators of a two-footed one, but I couldn't tell for sure in real-time. I noted that in my live PBP. I wasn't sure if the snow was from a skidding, underrotated landing or from a two-foot. I thought a two-foot was more likely than not, but wasn't comfortable making the call.

I then watched the replay in the arena, and it was from a frustrating side angle. It was impossible to tell anything re: rotation or two-foot. Given what I saw, I would've called it 3Loq and given it 0 GOE, giving the benefit to the skater. With this view, I'd call it 3Lo< and give it -3 for being underrotated and almost certainly two-footed. (The camera angle is not completely definitive, IMO; it's 95% likely.)

I do think the panel was mostly fair: they went -4 on the combo, which is what I think it deserved, or -3, even though the 3F+3Tq call could've had them go -1 or -2. I wonder if they had this view of the loop. Backing up my theory: judges 7, 8, and 9, who had the worst view of the loop, gave it the best GOE. (Granted, judge 8 was the US judge.)

The Finnish judge may needs glasses. -1 on the combo and +3(!!!) on the loop. Granted, she had the absolute worst view of the loop, but she had the best view of the combo, so something was off with her scoring. I do think the loop could deserve +3 (or more) if clean between the travelling threes in and the split jump out of it.

Amber has a Instagram story up where she says I almost never two foot my jumps but because after the stumble on the axel it happened, so I think she almost acknowledges the 2 foot

Yes, and then the replay. I slowed it down to show more clearly how short she came down.

I think this is just a case of a lenient panel all-around, but it also bothers me that 'the camera angle was bad' can get a skater out of a <.

Well this lineup was as awesome as the Finlandia Men, and the SP was just as :yikes:.

Gutted for Wakaba, she may be my favorite this season

Pleased for Amber that she didn't fall apart after the post-3A step out. Especially if she wrenched her back, ugh. I'll let y'all keep arguing about her other mistakes that wuzgifted, but I like this program for her.

I don't understand why Sakamoto's hair is mid-40s hiding-the-greys color.

Someone needs to tell Amber not to show her disappointment so instantly after her skate is done. And to hide it a bit in the kiss and cry. You don’t have to be perfect…just score more points. I thought she would still be first or second (before Kaori skated) with the mistakes because everyone else made mistakes too with q’s, edge calls, falls, slip outs, etc. The points on her triple axel would still hold her in good stead and did. I especially worry when Amber is in first place so the free will be a nail biter. But she can win this if she gets her nerves under control.

Kaori had one of her melt downs but will no doubt come roaring back in the free. Her triple lutz was soooo clearly on an inside edge I would have rioted this time if it wasn’t called :lynch: :p

Mone is just so sugary sweet overload sometimes. But I LOVE her spins so much.

Sad for Wakaba and Rino with falls.

Hana Yoshida’s style is just not my cup of tea. She seems so sloppy. But very likable and sometimes quite interesting. Though not today.

I know this has been on my mind for a while as well, and I have shared it with a few friends
