The good thing for her personally is that she knows it wasn't great and the score was overly generous. I don't think she's falling for the mixed messages that the inconsistent calling is sending. Some skaters seem like they do.

Kaori is a pleasure to watch even and maybe even especially when she just crossovers all over the ice. Tight on what I can only assume was a flip. A disaster on the combo which i didn't predict because otherwise this sp was about 50 pts better than the rest of the field.

Tango programs are so cliche, but that interpretation was rather brilliant. Loved it.

This event is cursed. I’d honestly have Sakamoto fifth given the flutz plus -5 on the underrotated combo plus the general lackluster program without star quality. Can’t believe Glenn will lead with that program….

I do like this program for Kaori, it's different and has musical beats that she doesn't usually have to try and hit and when she does it well she does it really well. Today just wasn't the day for it.
