Man, so many falls today. SO very disappointing for the skaters (and us). Free skate is certainly going to be interesting.

Junhwan is one of my ultimate favorites, but I don't love either of his programs this year. The free skate isn't as bad as this.

He's a beautiful, glorious skater and this is shit. He doesn't even try to give any oomph to it like he has so many of his other programs. The arm movements are half-assed, and he's basically looking down.

The height, the distance, the perfect air position, the flow out of that Salchow. Beautiful 4T+3T, too, but not quite as perfect (so +3 instead of +4..) But back with the beautiful Axel and that knee bend.

The footwork, I can't even begin to explain how much he has going on and how difficult it is, while making it look so subtle and beautiful.

I just love him. Did you know yet that I think he's truly the best all-around skater of all-time?

What size is this rink? It may just be the angle of the camera on the judges side, but some skaters have come very close to hitting that side.

Wow, you can see the work in Kagiyama's jumps, so improved from what was already excellent technique. His rotation speed is faster and he's finishing rotation with more time to spare. Just love the way he floated down after his rotations in both quads. And those knees - just to die for.

Edit: Also, the seemingly random edit of that clip from Winter at the end is such a nod to Russian tastelessness.
