The men are menning? Welcome to FSU Mark.
Oh, that term is used all over FS internet, but I'd love to know where it originated. It's hilarious and tragic that it's become such a common term that Mark is comfortable using it on the broadcast and knows that fans watching are going to completely understand what it means.

1 Malinin 30 points
2 Kagiyama 30 points
3 Aymoz 26 points
They have all qualfied

4 Grassl 24 points

Grassl is in as well unless standings next week are exactly: 1 Egadze or Shaidorov; Sato top 2, or top 3 (tie breaker), Fa top 4.

Look, this is not acceptable to @Rukia who needs to know the exact results next week that will get Torgy to the Final too.

No BINGOs and I took out a lot of the Womens stuff like Korean hair bling that will come up in the next event. What do people want to do?

Grassl got a q on the loop. That is all.
Don't hurt yourself yet today. It's far too early and we have another 13.5 hours before Pac Coast Sr Men are done with their "blessed" tech panel generosity, lol.

He's not letting it get away from him, to his credit.

Skate America was absolute magic. I've seen every and all things as far as skating programs go in the last 50 years, and it was easily a top 10 of all-time, maybe even top 5.

He's shaky and really tentative into the jumps, and the program isn't quite as effective this time but good for him to get past that first mistake.

I think having a serious relationship (and his boyfriend in the audience) has pulled him out of stressing about the skating constantly.
I am so upset that there is not a video of his skate America skate. It was really one of the best ever.

I have one that I made from my phone. I think I set it to private on Youtube after some days, but I'll make it public again.

Somehow Yamamoto’s costume designer always makes unitards that end up looking proportionally strange.

Not Yuma or Kevin’s greatest outings, but enough.

Kagiyama - OUCH. but relieved he still won. and glad it happened here and not worlds.

Aymoz - LOVE. happy he came back from a mistake. his programs aren't quite bringing down the house as past ones. but glad he's showing consistency.

Grassl - I don't have the mental energy to rage against his unfair quad calls (and even some of those sketchy 3+3 combos) but whatever. he was third by 8 points so I'll just pretend his tech element score was closer to a more reasonable 92.

Yamamoto - snoozefest but was hoping he would edge out Grassl for bronze. Oh well.

Britschgi - cutie. would also have hoped a bronze for him.

Tomono - yikes. nice program though.

Selevko - hot.

Samoilov - gorg 4Lz.

Pulkinen - high level skating hobbyist at this point. still love him though. loved his little boop with the flower girl. so cute.

ok i watched this and wow top level menning by all

honestly by the time the fire alarm went off i was just like "yeah this makes sense"

grassl is still lol to me and that program is genuinely so bad with the edits and breaking glass and whatever (I think the actual choreography is fine for him but everything else is just beyond mess)

After I watched this, earlier this afternoon, I honestly thought... it can't get worse... right?

This was definitely not the comp for the Japanese guy's 3A's which are usually pretty reliable. Sigh.

Grassl winning the free is just... unsettling. Aside from the fact that EVEN I could see both the 4R and 4S weren't clean, I don't know how the panel is missing it. And this program edit... obviously the person who made it shared his/her crack with the judges. 8's in presentation? In what world???

Samoilov: I THINK THAT IS THE MOST AMAZING 4Z I HAVE EVER SEEN ANYONE LAND!!! Too bad the rest of his jumps didn't live up to his opener, but WOW! If he can clean up the other jumps, he could make a serious splash at Euros and beyond.

Aymoz: Not quite the magic of his first GP, but after everyone wrote him off last year (and why not, seeing how badly he was struggling?) it's great to see him near the top of his form? Can he maintain it? Let's hope so. Let the French men face off at the GPF!

Kagiyama: Without the jumps, his skating skills still shine vastly through. But it also shows that he still has room to grow in his presentation. Watching hours after the event and a thousand+ miles away, I could sense his frustration through the TV screen. Three weeks(?) to get ready for the final, kid.

Tomono at least's didn't unravel as badly as at his first GP, so that's good. And Britschgi also looked better, so that's nice to see. Hoepfully they can keep working and we see better from them soon.

Pulkinen: The fact that this was a whopping 1.5 points better than GPdF is sad... especially since the TES was actually even lower here than in Angers. Mark said he's planning on working through this year and then re-think his work/training for next year. But with results like these, even getting GPs will be difficult, let alone hoping for an Aymoz-like turn around and then getting on the team for the Olympics.
