2024 - 2025 NFL Training Camps, Roster Changes and the return of Swifties

Honestly the Commanders are cheering up an entire city/region very depressed today for other reasons. I think I’ll just read the Sports pages for the next few weeks even if they lose to the Eagles. No news, no politics, just dumb ole American football.

Congrats to the Bills and :respec: to the Ravens, a consistently good team.

I've been dozing most of the evening - was up for over 32 hours coming home - and woke up for that final touchdown by the ravens. I really thought it was a 2 pt conversion

I was impressed with Lamar last night despite the mistakes (in wet weather it is easier to forgive.) He was the leader we see during the season and wasn't tentative. He marched that team right down the field. If the TE doesn't fumble and then doesn't drop it in the endzone (that poor guy) this might be a different outcome. They get Flowers back and I think they are formidible next year if they can keep the team together and healthy.

Josh is always great for the Bills but I was impressed with the D as people kept calling them small but they certainly didn't play small. They are quick. Mahomes will have his hands full.

Because the Mafia has to mafia 🤷🏻‍♀️

Someone needs to post after me. I'm seriously superstitious and have been avoiding this thread all season because of it. But raising money for a great cause made me post. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Someone save me.

Posting after you!!

I googled our guard Trey Smith. We won't be able to afford to keep him on the Chiefs. Everytime I google another team pops up that wants him. He is going to have a lovely payday somewhere.

@Debbie S it's truly unfortunate that Nationals is in Kansas this weekend. Unfortunately you will see and hear KC shirts and sportswear everywhere and newscasts and everything will focus on KC games.

I know it will be frustrating. I'm sorry.

Actually, the only Nats spectators I've seen dressed up in Chiefs gear are the couple sitting in the front row on the opposite side of the arena, who were also in Columbus last year. I haven't been watching local news since I'm exhausted by the time I get back to the hotel each night. I think i posted about the Chiefs fans in the event thread but that was just standard football fan ribbing. I'm really only thinking/focusing on Nats events right now, gearing up for Marathon Saturday at the arena with the ridiculous split event sched. :)

I like Colin Cowherd's show and he has said for months that the Eagles are the best in the NFC. I thought it was between the Vikings and the Lions. What do I know?

I think those local fans from Wichita are in Arrowhead
Besides Chief fans a large force...all those shirts "I'm for Taylor's Boyfriend".

You know I don’t remember seeing or hearing a single local advert for Nationals.
Probably just you and me pulling for the Chiefs. I understand. Here’s to a good game.

Go Bills!! (Sorry @once_upon , I just can't with a threepeat. The chop/chant annoy me too much, and Buffalo has been my "second team" for years)
Just so you know, when I attend games I do not chop or chant. I don't do them at our football parties.

I really dislike it. I kind of do like the drum. But I also like the KC Currents Drum Line

I believe you. You’re too classy to chant/chop!

I do sing Home of the Chiefs. But I wish they would ditch the chop and chant. Close game!!

As I said - human collective behavior is so hard to change. The Indian headdress took more than a decade I think.

I liked during the games I saw Bills helping Chiefs up and Chiefs helping Bills up. And they were all respecting each other at the end of the game.
Happy as all get out but I do feel badly for Josh Allen. I think the key next year, if the Chiefs are able to hold onto talent and are still winning, is to get the game away from Arrowhead. The crowd is the 12th man.

There are just too many deserving QBs
Josh, Lamar, Justin, CJ, Jarod, Kyler, Brock, Baker, Jayden, Jalen, Joe, Jordan, Sam, Patrick and all the rest.

I feel for each of them. They all played outstanding this year

Such a contrast from the first game, where the Eagles and Commanders players were breaking out in fights all the time. Definitely rooting for the Chiefs to get that 3-peat.

I felt a little bad for Josh Allen, seeing his expression at the end of the game. He just looked so defeated.
