Interesting the program thats going to win the short program was one of my least favorite
I've always thought Kaori's 2A goes "out" (great distance covered!) which is not ideal for a 3A takeoff.I could totally see Kaori doing a triple axel has she ever practice them?
Oooooo! Kaori! Down on the combo! That's gonna cost her 1st place, but the judges sort of low-balled Isabeau, IMO, so I expect she'll wind up 2nd.
Yes. It's fast and long, but I don't think she gets the height needed for a 3A.I've always thought Kaori's 2A goes "out" (great distance covered!) which is not ideal for a 3A takeoff.

Amber nailing the short program - how many times has she had problems on the triple loop this season? Nice to see her land all the jumps - still would have liked to her go after the triple Axel in a competition with little impact.
66.55 = 1st Place (65.52 at Worlds)
No jump underrotations. Amber's 3F+3T 9.50 bv (-0.08 GOE) = 9.42; she lost TES after the tech. panel review dropped levels on 2 of her spins: CCoSp3 & LSp2. (cc: @AngieNikodinovLove)Oh yeah, must’ve been, technical score came down by three points
Not likely at age 22.Siyeong is looking particularly long tonight. Another growth spurt?
I'd have sent Chiu before I'd have sent Gogolev, Romsky or Circelli.Why did CAN send Gogolev? Why not Sadovski/Circelli?
Honestly, not sure it would have been any better. I guess the chance to get a better position for Gogolev on the Season Best list, but not when you skate like that.Why did CAN send Gogolev? Why not Sadovski/Circelli?
