Nice music, Samuel! At least for those of us who graduated high school in 1975. Go Redbone!

I just texted with the videographer. YT music Gremlins are having their way. He is trying to find the right 'balance" between listenable music and keeping YT at bay
Yeah unfortunately youtube be like that sometimes I feel for him. Tell him thank you for the hard work!

So Yaro's 2nd jump got 2T* - why? It is considered 3 jump-sequence?
Didn't watch, but that happens when there's too many steps or a significant error between the two jumps in the free skate, hence why it's called 4F+COMBO and then the 2T

ETA- just watched the replay, it was a 4F fall out, and then an attempt at tacking on a 2T since he already had done the 4F in the previous jumping pass. Interestingly, he didn't get hit with the +REP because he had an attempt at a +COMBO noted... that didn't count anyways.

ETA2- looking at the protocols, Kai Kovar puzzlingly went for two +SEQs (both with 2A's in them), in which only one is allowed in a program. Therefore, the second 2A in sequence didn't count at all, and he did get a +REP for the entire jumping block, because of something that earned 0 points.

I love a good rulebook glance, and here's what I found

For Paniot:
Executions of jumpnot counted in Jump combination or sequence
If in a jump combination or sequence a skater falls or steps out of a jump and immediately executes another jump(s), the jump(s) after the mistake are not counted, and the call will be the executed jump(s) before the mistake + combo/sequence + the executed jump(s). The jumps after the mistake are marked with an ( * ) .3T (fall/step out) + 2T Call: 3T + Combo + 2T*2A + 1Eu (fall/step out) + 3S Call: 2A + 1Eu + Combo + 3S*3T (touch down with weight transfer) + 2A Call: 3T + Seq + 2A*3S (fall/step/out) + 2T + 2A Call: 3S + Seq + 2T+ 2A
By doing this all the executed jumps will be visible on the computer screen and it willbe easy to follow the requirements of the repetition rule. The Judges GOE refer to the entire element performed.

For Kovar:
More than one jump sequence in the program
There can only be one jump sequence in a Free program. If the skater executes two jump sequences in a program, only the first jump of the jump unit will count.
First jump sequence in the program: 3T + 2A + Seq
Second jump sequence in the program: 3S + 1A* + 2T* + Seq + REP
Second jump sequence in the program: 3S + 2T* + 1A* + Seq + REP

And the stream is gone again. With Ting WD, I think I'm out. I hope the stream comes back for everyone watching.

The livestream was fine for me during the Senior Women's FS. Ting has confirmed in an Insta story that she tested postive for covid yesterday and that's why she withdrew from the FS.

There were some notable Novice skates in the Pacific Rim comp. - hope to post a few notes when I have time.

I was told today's Autumn Classic NQS events won't be livestreamed, sadly. :(

Thank you for the good news, @crzesk8dad! :)
Todays' NHL rink [Autumn Classic NQS] events are on YouTube, I spoke with the videographer and he confirms that they are on. Currently, it's practice ice, however, if you move back on the "red line" at the screen bottom, you can see Junior women FS. Thank you to Hurd Video!!

Autumn Classic NQS Senior Men FS is scheduled to start at 2:50 PM Pacific time: https://ijs.usfigureskating.org/leaderboard/results/2023/33480/CAT004SEG008.html

Senior Women FS is scheduled to start at 3:45 PM Pacific time: https://ijs.usfigureskating.org/leaderboard/results/2023/33480/CAT005SEG010.html
