2022 Skate Canada Challenge - Dec. 1-5 2021

So did someone trip over the power cord in the rink for senior men?!? These marks took forever for Bruce Waddell.

Since there's only 4 SR pair teams, I'm switching over--hopefully won't miss too much in Sr mens! Whoever made this schedule didn't think it out too much

If people didn't know you can click on the "Detail sheets" for the segment on the results page and protocols are uploaded, I think after every skater.

So far Toman is the only skater to attempt a quad (4S<) and the only skater to get +GOE on the triple axel.

On top of the jump woes, I really don’t think the pockets match this quasi swan lake he’s skating to.

That was rougher than I expected from Nam.

I know Nam doesn't need to qualify for nationals here since he has his GP bye but man that was just sad, that skate.

Debut of their SP to "Happy Ending" by MIKA :) - 3twist (-1 GOE), good sbs 2A & throw 3S (54.75): https://cssterminalserv.skatecanada.ca/results/22CHALLJuniorPairSP1DRO.html
McIntosh/Mimar's new SP starts here in the replay video: https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x860vvi?start=1080

I MUCH prefer this song/music to the country duet cover of "Billie Jean" that they skated at the NextGen Camp simulation back in the summer.

Wow Stellato and Deschamps had a great skate. They could make nationals very interesting if they skate well and possibly make the world team.
loved it! Based on that performance I would hope they could have a very decent shot at making the Olympic team, 2nd best twist too next to Eric & Vanessa

Also Conrad Orzel, so I assume it would be top 14 here to make Nationals (max field of 18).

Women not here are Emily Bausback and Madeline Schizas, so top 16 here should go (max field of 18).

Pairs not here are Walsh/Michaud, James/Radford, and MTM, so all the teams here should qualify (max field of 12).

Dance not here are Gilles/Poirier, FB/S, Lajoie/Lagha, Soucisse/Firus, and Lanaghan/Razgulajevs, so all teams here should qualify (max field of 15).

I don’t think Deanna has Canadian citizenship, so the Olympics are not possible for them.
Stellato only got her release from the US for this season so the 2022 Olympics were never the goal. She wants to skate at the 2026 Olympics.
