It seems live update for the Championship event isn't working now. Intermediate Men FS was scheduled for 3:20 today. It's now 4:27 and no results. Novice Men SP was scheduled to start at 4:20, and nothing there either.

Bummer!

ETA: Novice Men SP did finally start, and is finished now---but there are no results yet for the Intermediate MEN FS.
At 5:15, the Intermediate Men FS results finally came up.

The Novice Women A SP is progressing normally. Whew!

Ah, I recall the "good ol' days" when I took photos of the Philly (then known as Liberty) results sheets taped on the walls (or persuaded people there to do it for me!). :D

Link to Robin Ritoss' photos of the Junior International Women's & Men's short programs for FSO today: https://figureskatersonline.com/news/2022/08/04/photos-2022-philadelphia-summer-invitational/
Do you remember the year when it was so hot that the ice continuously melted? It probably was in the 1990's

The starting orders for the international competition have been uploaded! Too bad there isn't any streaming

Yeah; why not? Many fans would be happy to pay $10 or $20 to watch. Video cams will be up (each skater promised films of their performances).

So why not? Let me guess - dealing with music rights?

No. When you're talking about a club comp at a regular (i.e. not major arena) rink, any streaming usually has to work off wi-fi, which can be unstable and/or challenging for the videographer to set up. A lot of the usual skating video vendors aren't familiar or comfortable with the technology and may not even have all the necessary equipment. They would prefer to just record individual performances and sell to the competitors and not bother with extra work that likely won't give them much financial benefit.

And no, LOCs can't just find another vendor....there are certain video companies that work in the skating comp business (most video companies would likely find the economics not worth it) and it depends on who is available that week/weekend.

Sofia Bezkorovainaya, who just turned 12 and is coached by Inna Volyanskaya, won Novice A today with an ambitious 6-triple FS (3 < & 1 q calls, scoring 85.84): https://ijs.usfigureskating.org/leaderboard/results/2022/30702/CAT010SEG016.html
She was the top scoring Juvenile in USFS' Championship Series of qualifying competitions last season and made her Team USA debut in Adv. Novice at Egna Spring Trophy in April.

ETA that her jumps were called clean in her SP (47.93): 3Lz+2T, 3F, 2A.

ETA #2 - Megan Huffman scored 88.36 to win Novice B, cleanly landing two 3S & a 3Lo (2A+1Eu+3S received 1 bonus point): https://ijs.usfigureskating.org/leaderboard/results/2022/30702/CAT011SEG018.html

I was told there's a "bug" in the ISU's Swiss Timing software which has been affecting the live scoring updates (like what happened during the Senior FD at the Lake Placid Ice Dance International).

According to a poster on goldenskate, she was practicing her SP yesterday (East of Eden) so I assume yes...
I also heard she was at both official practices yesterday and today for the competition. I was told Isabeau was not there this morning for practice, but these summer competitions are much different than Nationals, so that doesn’t necessarily mean anything.
I was wondering, if Gracie were to compete both segments, would it count for the NQS since it’s International? I know the regular part of the competition counts but wasn’t sure about the International part. I believe Lindsey and Isabeau will have bye’s to Nationals, but Gracie doesn’t…I don’t think.

Byes to one of the 3 Sectionals would apply as follows:
For junior and senior events: Any member of the U.S. Figure Skating Team, defined in rule ICR 3.05, who has
been assigned to and competes at an international assignment classified as an ISU Grand Prix, ISU Junior
Grand Prix and or ISU Challenger Series event.
As I understand it, otherwise Gracie would still need to qualify for Eastern Sectionals via a top 18 total score in a NQS competition (top 4 overall scores from each of the 3 regions within the section, next best 6 overall scores from the section).

Right, that’s what I thought. Does this International count as a NQS though?

Yampolsky landed 7 of his 8 triples, including his opening 3A+3T & 3A, 2nd half 3Lz+1Eu+3F, fell on 3Lz. He seems ready for a JGP debut!

Someone just texted me that Isabeau landed a 3Lz+3Lo in the warmup. I'd love to know what her music is (classical or not?) if someone can ID it. :)
Come, now, @Sylvia! Surely we can hope for at least a fan cam video uploaded to YT by the end of the day.
