Ice Dance Championships July 27 – 29 - Lake Placid Legacy Sites
The New York Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA) announces it will host the Lake Placid Ice Dance Championships and International event on July 27 through 29, 2022, at the Olympic Center in Lake Placid.lakeplacidlegacysites.com
Starting orders are posted for the club competition: https://ijs.usfigureskating.org/leaderboard/results/2022/30600/index.asp... the International Announcement states that "The draw for the starting orders will take place in the evening on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at the Olympic Center." This will be an ISU Minimum Technical Score event.
The regular competition announcement states "This competition is approved for the 2022-23 National Qualifying Series (NQS) in Dance, Juvenile – Senior." and that "A videographer will be available."
I just searched online for their ages but didn't find anything besides a reference that at 2019 U.S. Nationals, Olivia Ilin and Dylan Cain won the Juvenile Dance title as "the youngest skaters on the podium at ages 9 and 10" - so it depends on whether or not Olivia's 13th birthday is before or after July 1 - (ETA #2) I have since been informed that Olivia turned 13 just last week so Ilin/Cain are not ISU Junior age-eligible this year, unfortunately.Happy to see Ilin/Cain in the junior (non-international) event. They haven't competed yet this season but hopefully a decent showing here will give them a shot at a JGP (assuming they're both old enough?).
Thank you, @Sylvia ! Perhaps this explains why they weren't in a rush to compete early in the season. Hopefully they can get another novice international sometime over the season.I just searched online for their ages but didn't find anything besides a reference that at 2019 U.S. Nationals, Olivia Ilin and Dylan Cain won the Juvenile Dance title as "the youngest skaters on the podium at ages 9 and 10" - so it depends on whether or not Olivia's 13th birthday is before or after July 1 - (ETA #2) I have since been informed that Olivia turned 13 just last week so Ilin/Cain are not ISU Junior age-eligible this year, unfortunately.
ETA that Ilin/Cain and Olivia Dietrich/Eduard Pylypenko (competing in the same Junior event in Lake Placid) have costumes made by Mathieu Caron: https://www.instagram.com/p/Cf49xoDrhkC/

I hope someone posts a video of their dance. For so early in the season, and for a new team, that score is impressive!Sylvia Li & Rowan Le Coq (one of the top Novice teams last season) are leading the Novice Combined Dance standings after 2 Pattern Dances (Westminster Waltz & Argentine Tango): https://ijs.usfigureskating.org/leaderboard/results/2022/30600/CAT012SEG010.html
Next (final domestic event of the day) is the Senior Rhythm Dance: https://ijs.usfigureskating.org/leaderboard/results/2022/30600/CAT019SEG012.html
(starting ~20 mins. behind schedule)
ETA: 71.54 for Zingas/Kolesnik! (66.49 at Dallas Classic)
They're making a STRONG play for that SkAm TBD or at least a couple of Challengers this fall. It will be interesting to see how the teams in the international comp score.I hope someone posts a video of their dance. For so early in the season, and for a new team, that score is impressive!
