2021 US Classic - Men

I've seen Carrillo landing 4S and 4T in practice clips so he's working on upgrading his technical content.
Yeah, I've seen him landing those, too, and sometimes in super crowded rinks which makes it even more impressive. Just wish the triples were tidier. The 4S attempt here wasn't too bad.

I generally like Ge's choreography, and this is no exception. Surprised this music hasn't made the rounds through skating in a huge way yet, honestly.

Eric has the unique habit of turning his head 90 degrees to the side before going into almost every jump. Pretty good performance.

The Cock has gotten behind a little for me. What great opening jumps for Jimmy

And I seem to have jinxed him a little

I'm probably second in line to @Braulio in being thrilled for Mexico to get a spot into the Olympics, but I was hoping for just a bit more from Donovan in his progression. He really stalks the 3A still and it's all over the place, and a lot of his other jumps are always tight. 3T has the toe-Axel issues, etc.

But this program is fun. Much better than the SP. Hopefully he gets to show it in Beijing.

Yes, I think that the 3axel preparation to almost a stand stil will be a big issue and the tight jumps completing the rotations is still there. He spent the summer working with Gleikenhauz-Dudakov in some training camp in Mexico but though they helped with his content but tecnique needs lots of work. His stamina looks improved though and he doesn't look like he is going to pass away in the end.

I'm glad that he is qualified to the Olympics but I am realistic that his jumps needs work, work and rework his technique though unfortunately I think that wont come while training in Mexico. He needs a jumping coach asap if he wants to go beyond 2022 Olympics and be in contention not for a medal of course but to be in a second tier group around 10 to 15th place

I actually quite liked that from Ma, too. His hands and arms are actually very elegant in the slow parts of the music and he still has hints of the modern, intense movements that first made him popular.

Not as strong technically today but his overall skating quality is definitely better.

Do I love Jimmy Ma? Yes. Do I love Jimmy Ma's shirt? No. No, I don't.
Yeah, it's like it wants to be a Yuzuru onesie but just can't make the complete commitment to bling and shredded fabric bits hanging off so it just goes with sparkly illusion claw stripes and and a bit of weird red on the shoulder.
