2021 Lake Placid Ice Dance International, Aug. 12-15 (in Norwood, MA w/ Cranberry Cup & Open)

Is it normal to make everyone stand for the national anthem at US comps?
It's always announced to stand any time they play it, but honestly let's just get a new anthem. Ours is awful

This camera is going to give me motion sickness

Oh yeah. Even at most local club competitions, they play the anthem at the beginning of each day. Everyone is expected to stop what they are doing and stand.

How many disco versions of songs that should've never existed in the first place do you think there will be?

I keep misreading Klara Kowar's last name as Kovar and I wonder if she's related to Kai Kovar, one of the up and coming junior men this summer, lol.

I was into this music, but the program didn't fit the music.

What are the possible RD rhythms? Hip Hop, blues…?

Kowar had a botched twizzle. They fell getting off the ice. I don’t think there’s a deduction. ;)

And here's the first team in the Battle Australia for the Nebelhorn spot!

They're touching their heads more than Slutskaya, but ngl that twizzle placement with the music was genius

Well, I really liked that from Harris & Chan! Much better with the 2nd song not being muted by YT.

The Kylie choice is very patriotic, I hope Jason adds a link to this program in his citizenship applications.

I loved the first half but oof that slow part was dreadful.

Wait I'm back to loving it at the end.
The slow part is the blues section. As a rhythm it really slows the momentum down in the programs, or at least that was my impression with the juniors, and so far it seems to be the same with the senior skaters.
