Was he injured this summer? His technical content seems so watered down this season - 3Lo+2A+SEQ how 2010 - it seems very odd.

If she has, I've never seen it and I watch a ton of junior pairs events.

He's going to have to make a decision sooner than later for the sake of his career

Wow, great skate by McIntosh & Toste. glad they put yesterday's poor skate behind them

3rd & 4th groups of the junior dance event.

Bronsard & Bouaraguia had nice speed on the twizzles. She had a small trip toward the end of the program (I think during a step sequence). It must have taken her mind off focus because she did one turn, then fell going backwards. Li & Richmond had a nice skate. These two both have tall long lines (very Fournier-Beaudry & Sorensen-esque). The technical level isn't quite there, but they could really have the look with some more work. Kagolovskaya & MacDonald had a nice performance, and then Lim & Quan were the surprise of the day with an Adams Family compilation that I've never heard before. She especially performed very well, and voila! They bested Galiyanova & Lochhead by a bit for 5th place.

EDIT: And they do, though they're second in the free. Looks like it'll be them and McIntosh/Toste at Junior Worlds.

I wouldn’t declare the jr world team before Canadians. Last year it looked like Andrew and Fletcher were a shoo-in and then they bombed Canadians and Levesque and Hudon got the spot.

Choinard/Davis, very early days, but +5 for using Of Monsters and Men, a seriously underused band in skating.

Choinard & Davis seemed to have a good cheering section. Today was her day to have the problems with the side by sides.

More unique skating music for Wang/Boudreault-Audet, I think. She has such a nice relaxed demeanor. I was surprised at her fall on the throw because she seems so confident - which is a big change on all the other teams I have been watching today where the surprise was a secure landing.

Good promise I think.
ETA - Francis looked seriously ticked at their score.

This event has literally been amazing. Horrible covers of songs I love . . . horrible covers of songs I feel neutral about . . . and horrible covers of songs that I hate. I'm convinced that, later tonight or tomorrow, there will be a Michael Buble cover of "Mr. Vain" with Forest Blakk doing the rap parts.

I was even wondering what could have been with Purich and Tran. They seemed to have a lot of promise and while I enjoyed watching Castelli and Tran, they never seemed to fully gel.

lol - now that we are down to just one rink/stream to watch I don't know what to do between skaters to keep busy so I had to add the curling game and the yule log too.

Unfortunately my old laptop decided to crap out on me this morning, and being laid off early last week I had no choice, I had to go and replace it so I was unable to make it today. Not sure I have the patience to get up early Sunday morning to sit through 29 women...

Some iffy moments for Brasseur and Bardei, there's a lot to work on just for gelling and maturity, but if these two can mature and put it together they have all the potential to go far.

This was first time seeing them....he is one strong boy, and he doesn’t look very old either.
