Per wikipedia, it was an exhibition for them in 1996-1997. (The film came out in 1993/1994. If I remember correctly, Katarina Witt had her program out first. I remember my family hypothesizing that she was able to debut a couple programs before the films were released because of her connections in the film industry. Paul Wylie also had his program out very early @the same time).
The movie came out in December 1993. Katarina and Paul skated their programs in fall 94/spring 95 on SOI and at pro comps. I assume they put their programs together in summer 94, after the movie had been out for months (and won Best Picture, etc, Oscar).

Lol that she's no longer with Brian Orser but still skating to all Yuna Kim's old programs.
Well... Brian Orser seems to like to give his girls his old programmes... I hope Tursy does not adopt much from Yuna Kim's. I found Kim's "Dance Macabre" programme reserved, inexpressive and not very interesting.

The one that should be looked at and considered is "Dance Macabre" by Kiri Baga....:encore:(great dress too, Kihira's looks similar).

No more tangos :scream:
But will you make an exception for Maksim Mrvica's "Tango in Ebony"? This YouTube comment encapsulates my thoughts on this sinuous and sensual stunner almost flawlessly:

Some nights are so erotic, so unique that the words often are unnecessary. Tonight, as the body shudders in touch, as the lips tremble in every kiss, as the mind travels everywhere and in everything, tonight I travel through our songs, through our images, through us. There are times when I get lost in sweet thoughts and tender. A hug has so much power that bridges distances, resets the time ... Tonight I travel ... You know the place, you know how. ...

Hanna Harrell (USA)
SP: Edith Piaf/Tanguera
Source is her choreographer, Misha Ge, today: https://www.instagram.com/p/BxI6i-KBsoD/

ETA link to Hanna's IG post with clip: https://www.instagram.com/p/BxI-064lp_x/ (Edith Piaf ["Carmen's Story"]/Tanguera has been added to spreadsheet)
Thank you for clarifying that it is two different cuts, Piaf's "Carmen" and Tanguera as a 2nd piece.. (because i was tearing my hair out, wondering if i should say that Piaf NEVER did "Tanguera".

Nice music, looking forward to the programme. I love Piaf's "Carmen's Story"

^^^ I heard the opening of Adele's "Skyfall" in that clip... even though it and the James Bond theme is overused in skating, I think it could work well for Lu/Mitrofanov.

Misha Ge has moved on to the Euless rink - he was in Ashley Cain's IG story today. Cain/LeDuc worked with him on dance choreo. on the floor in Japan between Worlds and WTT.

ETA that last month Cain/LeDuc worked again with Pasquale Camerlengo (he did both of their programs last year): https://www.instagram.com/p/Bwqfu-gldox/

That comment though... Sounds like a passage from an erotic romance novel. ;)

Looks like Lu/Mitrofanov are doing James Bond for one of their programs:
https://www.instagram.com/p/BxKmC_5lJSg/?igshid=7gm76ninizsx I love this team. I despise all James Bond music. :wuzrobbed

Buck up now. ;) Personally, I really enjoy Lu/Mitrafanov's unique opening to the music of Skyfall! Was there an earlier indication of who is doing their choreo?

Does anyone know if Ge has worked with other pairs before?
Misha Ge's website lists which skaters he has choreographed for (pairs are at the end) but not specific programs (SP/FS/EX): http://www.mishage.com/works

Benoit Richaud was in Irvine, California working with the Knierims (both programs) and Jessica Calalang/Brian Johnson (SP only): https://www.instagram.com/p/BxLpY0on6Ap/
Richaud is in Chicago now with Bradie Tennell and other young skaters at her rink.
Was there an earlier indication of who is doing their [Lu/Mitrofanov] choreo?
No and it's not known if the James Bond-themed program is SP or FS. One of their coaches, Olga Ganicheva often choreographs for them.
Betina Popova/Sergei Mozgov
FD: Bohemian Rhapsody, by Queen

Oh good, more James Bond and Queen programs. Those will be a nice change of pace when they're in the same warm-up group with Coldplay, Muse, and Buble programs next season.

I'm more than ready for a senior skater or team to announce "Candyman" as their music.

The only positive news in this whole thread is that there aren't any Rachael Yamagata or Beth Hart programs yet, so I'm sure that will change within the next two to three minutes.

I remember in 2000-01, almost all ice dancers were doing dramatic free dances, so the next season the ISU requested more variety in Ice Dance.
The gold and silver medallists in SLC skated to a Martin Luther King voiceover and a 9/11 tribute.

G/F's Schindler's List seemed so derived from Ilinykh/Katsalapov's 2010 Junior Worlds winning FD. I mean Charlene didn't dress like a concentration camp prisoner and Marco did not dress like a Nazi but the rags and smudges of dirt and her head scarf gave a similar feel.
Zaretski Sister rocked the head scarf before either team skated to SL.

Ashley Cain and Timothy Leduc will perform to “A Storm is Coming” for their Short. Choreography by Misha Ge.
