it's called "corset boning" or "structure boning"..
you take these plastic or metal segments (used to be whale bone in 19th century).....

and insert it in the special channels hidden inside the dress... kind of like this, only in show costumes the "channels" where you insert the bones, go on the inside and not "through"......

Bleah. I've never liked "People." It's my least favorite song from Funny Girl. Minority opinion, I know. But all that matters is that Gracie likes it and feels comfortable skating to it. Good luck to her.

Not in the minority! I despise that song with the passion of a thousand burning suns! But then again, I despise most Barbara Streisand songs ... so there's that.

I was holding out that Gracie would skate a Lori free but I knew better. I have not been a fan of any of Marina's singles work. One possible plus however would be if she gave Gracie an easier program so as to make the jumps a priority. Who knows, maybe having Zueva full time will help.

That's the one I remember too, and its one of the few Madonna songs I really like and thought it was great for a skating program.
