Christina posted an insta story walking around Prague with Zachary Lagha (there's another person too that i presume is marjorie but i cannot csi enhance this story to tell).

As a side note I'm having a medical procedure wednesday (it's outpatient so I'll be home but probably sleeping lol) so I probably won't be around as much and will be depending on you all to keep the manifesting and good vibes going so we have a great end to this rollercoaster of a season. Just know I'll be cheering them on in my pain killer haze.

Be well and fingers crossed all goes just fine. Hopefully you'll be more cognizant/aware by the time the RD rolls around on Friday!

Congratulations on a great RD and breaking 80 for the first time this season! :cheer2:

Golden Skate interview:

On the rhythm dance performance:
Christina: “We are really happy. It’s been a little bit of a roller coaster of a season, but I think in a good way, this was a really good way to end with this rhythm dance. We’re really happy with it. We put in so much hard work and Scott really pushed us to the limit with this program. So we’re really happy to have skated it that way and we’re really happy looking for that momentum to carry us.”

On the time after the Olympics:
Anthony: “As you know, the Olympics are such a high high that there has to be a low and we expected that and we trusted our team to carry us through it and we used the Olympics as a momentum rather than that low that everybody talks about.”

On getting sick after the Olympics:
Christina: “Yes, I got so sick. I had no voice until last week. I was just wheezing for three weeks. Barely anyone could understand me.”

On roommates at the Olympics:
Christina: “I was roommates with Isabe[au]. I’ve had the best time. When I got back home, it was so sad and empty. Every night when we got back to the room at like 11, we would debrief for one or two hours and just chat about how our day was.”
Anthony: “Yeah, I was roommates with Andrew. Being a roommate at the Olympics, you build a lifelong connection with the person. We were there for four weeks. So you build a special bond and that’s going to carry us for the rest of our lives.”

once again very proud of what they put out there today

the costume deduction was bad luck sure, but their skating was just so smooth and clean. Very different from how they started this season. Christina said after the rd they already have a solid idea for their free dance next season, and I expect to see them hit the ground running pretty early.

That was beautiful - so lucky to have been in the arena. I walked past them yesterday but didn’t want to bother them but I wish I’d seen them after this to congratulate because it was great.

Excited to see what they do next season - I don’t think that they were performance wise as far off ZK as scores would have you believe. ZK were just fine. Bizarre scoring at this event for sure.

They did really well in the FD. A shame about the costume deduction but honestly, imo, I think Cpom should've gone above r/a anyways but oh well. They had a really rough start to the season so as long as they're happy with how they performed I'm ok with how they did at worlds.
Yeah it's basically like do I think the scores they should? No. Their base values were some of the highest and they don't really get rewarded for it, especially considering how well they perform the elements. But the scores they got earlier in the season would have had them way lower, so this was much closer to where they should have been to start off with. And that is a win all things considered.

I noticed Christina said they'd take a few days off then start getting ready for the next season with "shows and training" and i am hoping that means a show i am going to lol

R/A really felt like a retirement skate and G/Ps scores felt like the judges telling them to retire so if both of those things happen then they should still get a seeded draw on the Grand Prix next season
Yes, 8th with 2 teams ahead of them almost certainly retiring (GilPoir and ReedAmbru) will move CarPon up into the seeded team group. We can't ask for more than that seeing how this season started. My only hope is that the USFS protects both ZingKol and CarPon by assigning them both to SkAm - and keep them FAR away from SCI where they're bound to be screwed with 1 other seeded team & LajLag. The USFS needs to be as strategic as possible, with all of our dance teams and their GP assignments next season.

USFS protecting CP…. Things we’d love to actually see for once in their life.

Well, honestly, the USFS did have their backs enough this past season to make sure they were assigned SkAm as the #5 seeded team. Unfortunately, CarPon screwed the pooch with that terrible NDdP FD and made themselves an easy target to pick off by people with other priorities & teams to promote.

I mean NDdP wasn't amazing, but it also didn't warrant the scores they got at Skate America. And nothing shows it better than them getting a PStB in the RD at Skate America when they have consistently been one of the best techincal team in the business for the majority of this quad.

They were hardly the only team at SkAm who got taken out by Rettstatt & his wacky tech panel calls.

True, but they were the only American team that was taken out like they were, and it felt very intentional, at least to me.

Given how well C/p ended up at worlds I think skate America calling may end up motivating the team instead.

Hopefully they will have great programs next season and shows us how good they are
