Congratulations on a great RD and breaking 80 for the first time this season!
Golden Skate interview:
On the rhythm dance performance:
Christina: “We are really happy. It’s been a little bit of a roller coaster of a season, but I think in a good way, this was a really good way to end with this rhythm dance. We’re really happy with it. We put in so much hard work and Scott really pushed us to the limit with this program. So we’re really happy to have skated it that way and we’re really happy looking for that momentum to carry us.”
On the time after the Olympics:
Anthony: “As you know, the Olympics are such a high high that there has to be a low and we expected that and we trusted our team to carry us through it and we used the Olympics as a momentum rather than that low that everybody talks about.”
On getting sick after the Olympics:
Christina: “Yes, I got so sick. I had no voice until last week. I was just wheezing for three weeks. Barely anyone could understand me.”
On roommates at the Olympics:
Christina: “I was roommates with Isabe[au]. I’ve had the best time. When I got back home, it was so sad and empty. Every night when we got back to the room at like 11, we would debrief for one or two hours and just chat about how our day was.”
Anthony: “Yeah, I was roommates with Andrew. Being a roommate at the Olympics, you build a lifelong connection with the person. We were there for four weeks. So you build a special bond and that’s going to carry us for the rest of our lives.”
