2026 Worlds in Prague - info & planning thread

Where is everybody staying?
We are staying at Hotel Pulse8, one of the recommended hotels on the event website. I don't know that it would have been my first pick but, it's nice to be with the crowds coming back to the same place when it's late. We're coming in a few nights before and staying in old town before we move to Pulse8 on Wednesday when the competition starts.

Are tickets still available?

All-event tickets and the Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday sessions are all sold out.

Does any :sekret: know if more tickets will be released, and when?

I have a strong lead on free dance and men's free seats, but don't have anything lined up for women's free.

The rhythm dance still has some upper bowl seats, but I'd be open to resale if someone has one they don't need.

Still don’t have a flight though and watching the prices skyrocket every day :shuffle:

The flights are crazy. I wanted to go but between tickets being sold out and flight prices in coach being like $1500... no, sadly.

May not work, but look into flight and hotel packages. The flights from London were REALLY expensive (4x the usual), but I found a flight and hotel package (3 nights including breakfast) that was < £100 more expensive than the flight itself. I suspect it may have been mispriced since there was only one room at this rate. All other rooms at the same hotel, even single rooms, added £300 to the package. All other hotels were several hundred more expensive. It looks like a legit hotel and the reviews check out OK. Hopefully it was mispriced, but maybe I'll arrive and find I'm staying in the broom closet.

Another bonus of the package is that I only had to put down £120 deposit. I do need to pay the balance by end of week, but the airfares are such that I expected the flights would rise by more than that if I waited much longer. £120 to keep an affordable option alive seemed like a good deal.

I've secured men's free and free dance tickets, so at this point I'm going. Still on the market for a women's free ticket. Keeping a eye on rhythm dance and will buy one of the nosebleed seats if the numbers start getting low.

@Private Citizen I was looking at miles. I could fly into Heathrow and premium economy for like 85000 sky miles. I have like 400,000 of them. Mr Lanie said I should just go, but I’m not sure about getting tickets?! But I can just get a cheap flight over to Prague from Heathrow… stay a few days in London, see some family and then go home?!?
Dammit. You guys keep enabling me.

I've managed to get tickets for everything other than women's free (and gala bc I'm not staying). Not great tickets, but better than we had at Olympics . I'm not especially worried given that we're a month out. Something will come up.

Keep in mind that the weekend flights from Heathrow are much more expensive than usual - £400+ for things not departing at the crack of dawn or arriving close to midnight. Flying earlier in the week and/or returning early the following week will make it cheaper.

I will be in an AirBnB near Wenceslaus Square.
Avec MOI! :D And our other usual suspects.

Are there any locals who have any info on whether the Českomoravská metro station is going to be open? Back in September when booking the accommodation the renovations were set to be done by the end of 2025 but now I see that they took longer than expected and the station is still closed. But I did find some article that said they are trying to get it to open right in time for Worlds.

I happen to know the person who is in charge of transportantion at this Worlds. Let me check with her. Back in September, she was very upset it was taking longer than expected, but told me the mucipality promised it would be done by Worlds.

Regretfully, I won't be in Prague. Enjoy everyone who is going!

I booked my flights :shuffle: Flying BA from London to Prague roundtrip. Not sure if I should do evening of the 24th or morning of the 25th. I'll leave the evening of the 29th, so I can go to the gala if I can find a ticket. I looked at Wizzair and Easyjet but luggage and such would have made it just as much money or more than BA which includes a cabin bag and a checked bag if I need.

I used 120k SkyMiles Premium Economy RT to and from Heathrow. I looked into leaving via Amsterdam but it would have only saved me SkyMiles on the 24th, arrival 25th, then I'd be scrambling. Also looked at CDG but if you know me you know how much I hate that airport.

Because of the miles it's really a pretty affordable trip and I can just pay for it with a few shifts substitute teaching

To those of you who bought 'VIP' tickets for 113 or 114 from the official portal (not Ticketmaster):

Did you receive a separate VIP voucher?

I received one when I bought a ticket from Ticketmaster, but not from the official portal. Is this correct?
