Hey everyone who wants Russian skaters at the Olympics, we've got 3 of them here for you! Russia already claims Ilia's success as their own, will they do the same with Torgahsev and Naumov at the Olys?
There's plenty of reason to justify Tomoki getting named to the team despite finishing fifth. There's no way they'd be able to justify naming Naumov if he hadn't finished ahead of Tomoki.
Those component marks are pretty generous even with Nationals inflation.
He doesn't seem injured in a way that will impact him long-term. I mean, if he had torn a ligament in his ankle, he wouldn't have been able to jump at all.4 programs in the span of less than a week? if injured? how he will skate at the free then?
The other posted said it I just said I guess I agree. Yall really high strung right now for some reason.

Not officially but you know they didn’t want to throw away the immense fluff they’ve preparedThere's no way they'd be able to justify naming Naumov if he hadn't finished ahead of Tomoki.
Maybe they wont and Alysa/Amber will get to do it.Changed my mind--I think probably those of you going with there's not going to be much of a discussion among the USFS are probably right. I don't think how they can't go with those three. Had Jason landed one triple axel, there might be an argument, but he didn't. I hope Jason goes to 4CC and does really well and goes out strong.
You have it all with these three--the hearstring sob story, the can he harness his talent, and the golden boy. Though if those are the three, I can't imagine that the USFS is real thrilled about splitting the TE for men's.
I really think people should take how Max feels about talking about his parents into account more when discussing the publicity. Ultimately, what he wants is what matters, and he clearly wants them to be part of his story and wants to talk about how he's skating for them.
Repeat after me... Tomoki is not getting named to the team over Max.There's plenty of reason to justify Tomoki getting named to the team despite finishing fifth.
Maybe Alysa will do both programs for the women and Amber will skate the TE mens FS.Maybe they wont and Alysa/Amber will get to do it.

As far as I know, the Mississippi River was the signature foray into cruising and that was among the first I saw for them.WUT. Did that American Cruise Lines commercial really have them going down the Mississippi, showing a plantation, AND some guy looking like a Colonel Sanders knockoff?![]()
I’m proud to be a Southern girl, but GEEZ!![]()
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Maybe Alysa will do both programs for the women and Amber will skate the TE mens FS.![]()
Problem is, who’d thought that Torgashev was going to skate like THAT?
And what’s the odds that Brown and Hiwatashi BOTH have major mistakes?
There's plenty of reason to justify Tomoki getting named to the team despite finishing fifth.

I know, and that's the only thing I hate about it.Max making the team is gold for NBC to exploit.
I mean other than one great skate tonight is Torg really better than Amber?Wait, this is our best idea.
Tony.OK, 'fess up, which FSUer just screamed "Take a picture with me!"

Pure numbers get you into the selection pool (includes recent BoW, not total BoW). Subjective BoW factors heavily into final decisions. Is the BoW rules just to get into the selection pool? Does it matter how many criteria or just making it into the pool is enough?
Tomoki's jumps always look soin the air I don't know how he lands anything
