2026 US Nationals Men's Free Skate "It's Raining Menning"

Wow, thanks for telling me "his body of work is stronger because his body of work is stronger".

The question is whether it's stronger enough compared to being top 3 at nats. I think a BOW would have to be a lot stronger than "two bronze medals at challengers" to overcome being 5th at nats.
I think that when it's less than a 2 point difference at Nats that there's a reason to have a conversation and discussion about who has been delivering stronger, higher-scoring programs all season.

All I heard was that he is breaking in new boots to be ready for the Olympics and I have heard breaking in new boots causes soreness and pain.
He typically breaks in new boots in early January.

It’s a little more than that. Rough practice with something lingering pain it seems. I would guess it’s rehab-able. I wouldn’t be calling 911 at this point.

I have no idea why Tomoki would be in the conversation. Because of two bronze medals at challengers?

I really don't think so.
I never in a million years expected Tomoki to make the Oly team - even after Jason bombed. Tomoki’s SP this year is unbelievably fabulous but the FS is not, and it would take both Torgy and Max to bomb to get him in the mix. Jason made it interesting by taking himself out of contention ( :fragile: ), but even if Tomoki medaled I would expect Naumov
To be named at this point.

It was reported that he had an awkward landing in practice this afternoon and his ankle is likely heavily wrapped.

The first part is factual the second part appears to be based on someone just assuming that it’s heavily wrapped because they have no real information. so maybe we could quit repeating that?

It’s been reported that a lot of people on here think they can do medical diagnosis over the television but factually it’s inaccurate

There's no way they'd be able to justify naming Naumov if he hadn't finished ahead of Tomoki.

Hey now! The second season of The Pitt started this week! 📺 🏥 👨🏻‍⚕️😉

As long as he's on the team I doubt Max will care. I think he wants everyone to know what kind of people his parents were and will do all the publicity they want.
I mean he hit a great quad salchow, his programs are good too. It is not like he was just gifted much of anything. While Jason's riverdance was liked by many I didn't like it because it was pale comparison to the original that gave you a lot more time to build properly and his free is a snooze.

I really think people should take how Max feels about talking about his parents into account more when discussing the publicity. Ultimately, what he wants is what matters, and he clearly wants them to be part of his story and wants to talk about how he's skating for them.
