2026 Euros in Sheffield GBR planning thread

Do not stay at the ibis. It’s awful and more like a one-star hotel. I’ve stayed at many ibis hotels throughout the years, and this one was both the worst and the most expensive. For anyone wary about the tram, it’s fine - or Ubers are plenty and cheap. Far better to stay in the centre than at the ibis. Can’t speak to the Premier Inn.

It’s a visa waiver similar to a U.S. ESTA or other travel preauthorisation. Easy, cheap, and done online.
Thank you for the warning. I definitely will not be staying at the Ibis!

I get why they're doing this, but I kind of hate it. I didn't go to their tour because I'm saving to get Euros tickets. As always, gotta spend money to save money!

The competition schedule has now been published:

Single day tickets go on sale next Thursday, 26 June.

Just to say that I hate this whole “on sale at 10am” thing - for those of us who work 9-5 jobs this is frankly a real pain. At least if they were on sale at 9am the day is just beginning. All my meetings start at 10 and I just know I won’t get the tickets I want ☹️.
