Unless someone can post a link or remembers a specific interview/comment, I think all we have heard is speculation about Weaver & Poje either way.

I don't think they know if they will retire yet. Likely depends on OG results and Worlds. I wonder if that FD score of 120 + at Nationals will influence them at all?

Oh, I saw on social media that Justine Brasseur & Mark Bardei are still a team and are looking forward to next season. Can't wait to see her back on the ice in pairs!

Bardei used to skate pairs for Ukraine ( http://www.isuresults.com/bios/isufs00054224.htm ) - this new team has yet to compete together.

After Nationals, our coaches advised us that they felt we had gone as far as we could go as a team and that in order for each of us to reach our full potential it would be best to end our skating partnership. This wasn't an easy decision to reach as we have really enjoyed skating with each other, but both of us feel it is the best decision moving forward.

They are both such incredibly talented skaters and wonderful people, I would like to see them continue, and it must be heartbreaking for poor Lubov to miss the Olympics again. Good for her but unfortunate for ice dance, I think she's pretty well moved on; she's a sports media student in Toronto now. (I miss many of the teams/skaters who fell victim to the 2016 Canadian Ice Dance Massacre.)

Parker Brown also retired to attend school according to Instagram, as is likely the case for a couple of other splits here. Fabbri/Pietrantonio had a major age gap and height issues that meant fans have long been expecting a split for them once he aged out, and Chubb/Gunther have a significant height difference that may have factored in to their team's decision. At heart, there's nothing terribly radical about most of the junior-level splits in any year.
