Sorensen was already living and training in Montreal by 2012. Not sure why he was back in Connecticut. We know many of these sexual assault cases can occur when skaters are away from home. At competition, training camp, etc.

Did anyone catch the commentary on USA's coverage of the FD at Worlds? I heard the investigation into Sorensen was discussed. Wondering if there is a video anywhere?

Nikolaj Sorensen was already living and training in Montreal at the time of the incident per the timeline. It appears he was visiting in the US when it occured but was training at IAM and representing Denmark.

Right but she calls herself an activist for change and is usually very vocal. I guess when it’s a Skate Canada athlete accused of rape, then it hits too close to her pocketbook.

Did anyone mention the reason for Sorensen’s withdrawal during the live stream/broadcast? Kaitlyn Weaver was commenting, and she’s usually quite outspoken. Does anyone know if she mentioned it? I see she’s taken on a cultural appropriation issue (German team’s exhibition program at Euros)...

The article says the victim was a skater herself and now a coach - I doubt this is a case of mistaken identity. Also, even right now he is not some “prominent figure” or celebrity. I don’t think being ranked #2 or #3 in Canada makes him very well known. He certainly was even less prominent 12...

I see no reason for the victim to make false claims after all this time. She would be in her thirties now. It has probably haunted her all these years. Does anyone know how the investigation is to be carried out? Can they interview people, review text messaging, etc?
