Paul is at his 16th world championship and 13th with Piper, according to Mark, and contending for the podium. That is amazing! Skating has to begin so young and to keep yourself in peak physical condition for so many years is truly amazing. The sport owes a great deal to those who stick it out and contribute so much. We have watched Paul grow up and it has been a treat.

Are FB/C planning to skate this entire quad? This may ruin my enjoyment of ice dance.

Otherwise, so many good RD’s today. Judges are having to split hairs.

Probably my favorite RD musically and choreographically is Green & Parsons, but they dropped like a rock with their scoring.

I like Green/Parsons but at least on TV they looked slower and less precise than the teams scored above them. I doubt they will keep their US#3 spot next year even with a coaching change.

I appreciated that errors affected outcomes today. Judging is so much better than the ordinal days of
1-1-1
2-2-2
Etc.

Green should seriously consider a new partner. Between his age and injuries and how close they are in size, this partnership has run its course IMO.

Finally caught up before the dances disappear from Peacock...

FINALLY the judges at Worlds are give Lopereva/Brissaud some love. They are just as talented and 1000 times more interesting than the French leaders.

Piper and Paul looked a bit rough to me, and I really do not care for this RD. Being 6 points below FB/C is a clear message they aren't going to win.

Happy for Lilah to have made it through the twizzles cleanly after Euros and then the Olympics. They aren't my favorite but they really sold the RD today. As did Z/K who are becoming more like an American version of Fear/Gibson daily, which is maybe why I'm cooling on them. One can consume only so much ham in one sitting.

Normally not a CarPon fan, as they never seem effortless to me. Today, they finally broke free and made their skating look "easy," and it was transformational. Well see if they can continue that with their FD, which is a better vehicle for them anyway.

I, in no way, understand Smart/Dieck's high skating skills marks. Performance, yes? SS? Not so much.

So many teams are grouped together so closely in the scores, tomorrow will be interesting to see where they finally all pan out.

FB/C were easily the best of the event for me and this was their strongest performance of Vogue all season. I know it’s not a popular opinion but I hope they stick around because I love the pairing and I want to see more of what they can create together.

I’m always team Piper/Paul and they’ve had one of my favorite RDs all season but it felt a bit flat for me here, although they certainly deserve to be 2nd. The Olympics was their magical ending for me, I would’ve had them saying their goodbye there along with C/B but it will be nice to see wuthering heights again.

I would’ve flipped 3rd and 4th. F/G seem like such nice people and it’s hard to root against them but I don’t find them nearly as good as the scores they get. Z/K are always so exiting and fun, I’d love to see them get a bronze here!

R/A’s twizzle mistake was so disappointing, it was a long shot but I would’ve been happy to see them sneak in for bronze as I love their RD and they’ve been so strong this season.
