Which figure skating discipline will have the most shocking result at these Milano Olympics? Either final results or an individual’s results. I think it will be pairs.
I say ladies. Because most of us haven’t seen any of the banned countries, so there’s no comparisons to the world’s top ladies. I really hope that the judges will not reward the system that promotes drugged, abused and starving jumping beans (oops, did I just say that?), but anything is possible.
Well, I voted for Men simply because I think Yuma's goodwill from the judges may not get him through another error-riddled competition and I could see him off the podium as a result, which would, indeed, be shocking to most of us.
I voted for Pairs because there isn’t a clear favorite and the top teams screw up regularly. Although that might mean it won’t be shocking when the Hungarians win.

Aside from Ilia losing, which I don't think will happen, the biggest shock in the men's event would be if the men didn't men. It wouldn't be all that shocking to me if Yuma didn't end up on the podium, especially since he says he's not playing it safe. The quads are such big drivers in the men's event.
I think Kaori has more goodwill with the judges and is saying goodbye, so it would be a bigger surprise - or at least a bigger disappointment - if she ended up off the podium after all the World championships/medals she has won the last four years. (But, I am admittedly biased; I much prefer Kaori to Mone and Ami and don't want a Russian on the podium.)
