2026 4CC - Rhythm Dance

Woke up in time for the Browns :cheer:

Love this program although this seemed a little slow? Or maybe my brain is a bit slow. Moar coffee…

ETA Gage’s facial scruff is a non

Zingas/Kolesnik

Midline 3/3
Twizzles 4/4
Pattern 2
RoLi 4

Accentuating the required elements in the midline with even more difficulty, deep obvious edges. Choreographed so smart in that way. Just blown away with how much she has improved and it keeps getting better. Arms moving constantly in the cool rotational lift, his foot goes up for the final few rotations. Just so many flourishes to hammer home good elements.

Z&K - wow that was pretty damn good. Unison on the midline steps was excellent along with the edges. And I really liked that there was difference in the change of the music that they expressed very well. The lift was probably the best we have seen. Transition in was so smooth and effortless.

Zings/Kolesnik

Steps have nice edges—she can keep working on hers a bit since his are superlative while hers are acceptable, Fast twizzles, they are selling the choreography and skating with a lot of confidence, they have a choreo rhythmic sequence that I actually like

I was all in for Z/K the first half of that program. All the flailing arms at the end took me out of the end - but really, I used to find this team so boring and they’ve managed to improve their performance quality so much!

Love her hair

Green/Parsons

Midline 3/3
Twizzles 4/4 I would be surprised if his held. The second set was rough
Pattern 3
RoLi 4

I don't know.. that little shoot the duck spin around in the beginning always looks like hard work going into and getting up from it. In fact, it just looks like a lot more work in general for them than it did for Z/K, the Browns, or even Fabbri/Ayer.

Green/Parsons - Great unison all the way through. He had a bit of a wobble on a twizzle (hard to see as he was behind Caroline). Like the attention to detail in this program. Really good.

Green/Parsons

Bit wobbly from him on last set of twizzles, choreo interprets the swoopy parts of the music quite well, skating fairly slowly by the end

I’m not sure I can describe why that goes behind Z/K although the unison is definitely not as good. They’re good, just not quite good enough fr the top tier.

I love that program - such a good vehicle for Caroline to shine. Not the best performance of it,alas

G&P - I was really enjoying that up until the remix at the end and then kind of killed the mood. It kind of lost the mojo. They had some very good cheeky cheese in it and didn't take itself too seriously. Some of the music highlights were great. Twizzles were rough from him. I liked her dress very much.

UGH. This has to be one of the worst twizzle competitions ever as far as ISU Championships.

Twizzles - 4/Base
Pattern - 2
Midline - 2/2
RoLi 4

I've warmed up to this program but talk about tentative. Never really got into their knees, the flow was clunky otherwise.

Should be way out of it, even behind Harris/Chan.

Lim/Quan

He lost the twizzle completely, the skating drug through the steps, smartly saving the crowd-pleasing elements for the end

Lim/Quan - Oh no - Twizaster for him! Crawled through Pattern Type steps. Parts of this looked like hard work but they did their best to sell it. I think choosing Men in Black was a good move as it gives them a theme to work with and they make it fun.

Koreans - I love this program. So much fun. They have a really good connection and relationship. Shame about his twizzle.

No kidding. It was easier to count the teams that didn't have a problem on the twzzles.

Although after watching Europeans a few days back at least Ricky Martin's regin of terror did not continue.

Can we stop the comp now while the Aussies are top 5? ;) No Chris, they aren't likely to move up, but thank you for your optimism.

Happy to see Fabbri/Ayer in there for a chance at a medal after how they've been scored this season. The panels are all over the place with them, both tech panels and judges with their PCS scoring. I think they are strong skaters that constantly get whatever is left over at IAM and/or minimal time in exploring a program. And frankly, even so, I still think they deserved an Olympic ticket.

But.. right in front of them are the Browns who quite honestly might get the top performance and composition marks on my scorecard with the FD if they deliver. One of the best modern-day IJS programs, especially since the addition of Ch elements.
