2026 Europeans - Free Dance - "Sheffield Whinesday"

Love the Swedes but please skate gods, let them choose something other than schmaltzy R&J.

The music for R&J really is pretty, and the Prokofiev music is just a masterpiece, I wish skaters would start divorcing the music from the story. Dramatic, highs and lows, I love this music, I just hate the story for anyone out of juniors. Z/K almost do this, and then they have to go and stab themselves at the end.

Milla and Nikolaj :cheer2:

Ok I loved that, one of the few enjoyable Romeo ad Juliet programs I have seen in my many, many, many years watching this sport (just did the math.. 32 years )

If only I knew if the scores are close up the top. Tonia has not said. bites nails nervously until she finds out

That's my favorite part! It makes the whole free dance kind of Tim Burton.

They are responding to the judging. That's my story and I'm sticking with it.

I think you just manifested a R&J / Ghost the Musical FD from some obscure couple next season.
:scream:
:yikes:
:revenge:

That's even more frightening than the fact that the Finns are still in front. I like the Finns, but come on. The Swedes and the Spanish should so clearly be above them. And the Germans. Possibly the Israelis.

OK, I don't mind these two R&Js back to back. At least it's different music and a different feeling.

At least of the three potential R&J FDs we may see at the Olympics, the teams aren't using the same compositions. We've got Prokofiev, Rota and the Luhrmann soundtrack. That makes it slightly more palatable than the Ricky Martin RDs on repeat.
